Me on Tumblr all of 2016: I'm not depressed Me December 31: LMAO
Who even am I who have I become
One last thing: I bought no hoe clothes and felt depressed all year and I see a correlation
I had a really professionally successful year but I was honestly too depressed/ exhausted/ stressed/ insecure to enjoy much of it.
Most of the year I honestly felt like I was hanging on by my fingernails and definitely on edge. I was often impatient, angry, sad and I felt lonely a lot. I would probably not have put it this way at the time, but now that I’ve completed a major project and had some time to rest, I’ve realized how deep of a hole I was in. A year of my life whizzed by and I wasn’t near grateful enough for a lot of it.
This isn’t to say I never felt proud or happy or loved or loving. But those moments were fleeting. I never felt like I could trust them when they arrived, so I shooed them off, and that makes me so sad.
I was in a few tough spots this year, and some old trauma has reared its ugly head, and I handled all of that so poorly. I wasted a lot of time on blame, jealousy, anger and mistrust and it made me more tired than I already was.
I don’t know. This sounds emo and dramatic, I know. But I was really put to the test this year and I failed miserably. Shit, I regressed. I never showed up for myself the way I should have and knowing that hurts. But! I guess I got another shot at this thing, so here's to that.
Things i tried to do to get rid of depression #1
