Hey! I recently broke my right toe, so unfortunately no climbing the next 3 weeks :( Luckily i have a training board at home. My question is: Do you know any excercises which I can do especially for my core strengh without using my broken big toe?
Absolutely! core is my favourite thing to exercise (even though it’s hell haha). you can do what I call the leg circuit. you can keep doing this until you perfect it and you can come back to me later for more if you want.
1min. mini leg raises- start in a v-sit and just raise your legs from there as high as you can get them and then back down about an inch above the ground. try not to get your back into it and gain any momentum. 1min. 6 inches- lie flat on your back, legs extended and raised 6 inches above the ground. make sure to try your best to keep your lower back on the ground! (eventually you will be able to do this one sitting up)1min. fast, little flutter kicks- lie on your back legs straight out in front of you, kick your legs like you’re swimming, but your kicks should be fast and small. try your best to keep your toes pointed. 1min. mason twists- sit up with your legs raised. your knees should be bent. then twist your body so that you can punch the ground that is opposite to the hand that you are punching with. 1min. one arm planks- get into a plank position (on your elbows) and hold that with just one arm for 30 seconds. after the 30 seconds, switch arms. try your best to keep your bum down and keep your hips level. sometimes spreading your legs and getting a wider stance helps.
you can have about 30 seconds of rest in between each of these exercises and about 2 minutes in between each set. do 3 sets twice a week!
