Y/N longs for a new life when the one she’d been living comes to an abrupt stop. Without much thought to those she is leaving behind, the little fox packs a backpack and disappears. She stumbles across the shelter and makes an interim home for herself while she works out exactly what she wants from her second chance.

Three weeks turned very quickly into three days.
The suits arrived by courier, (Jungkook having chosen a deep purple lining, Jin a soft pink, and Hobi a burnt sienna) a few days ago. The garment bags staring at you ominously every time you passed them in the living room. They had been left hanging on a dressing rail in the living room to make sure they didn't get crushed in a wardrobe. Fortunately your dress had been tailored and taken immediately to Taehyung's family's house after your second fitting.
The closer the day creeps the tighter the invisible rope around your stomach feels. Some days it feels bearable, light even as you go about your daily lives. Taehyung is back in the house a lot more often. Everyone is busy with daily life. And the main house is also days away from being completed, final safety checks being carried out. You all planned on moving in fully the day after the wedding.
Most days you could forget about the wedding. Tae kept his promise and dealt with most aspects. You spent your days directing builders, cooking with Jin and Jungkook, listening to Yoongi and Hobi squabble. It's only when you catch a glimpse of your engagement ring or those god forsaken garment bags that the nausea takes hold. But you can almost convince yourself that the waves are getting more manageable.
Almost.
And just as quickly as it came down to three days, it came down to three hours.
The wedding was being held at Taehyung's grandparent's estate. The ancestral home of his family line, and if you had thought his parent's manor was large, this made it look like a thimble. The driveway alone had taken you twenty minutes to drive down the day before. Each twist of the road causing a new twist in your stomach, the only thing keeping you anchored was the feeling of Yoongi's hand on your thigh. The bridal party had been allowed to arrive with you and Tae the day before, regrettably though they had been assigned a separate wing of the house entirely. And of course Taehyung had been whisked away on claims of bad luck. They each gave you a reassuring hug before being escorted away, but it did nothing to keep you from fretting. You had then spent the entire night counting the flowers in the gaudy fabric of the canopy bed you had been shown to.
Now you stare at your half made up face in the mirror as multiple skilled women fuss and fret around you, trying way too hard to make you look effortlessly beautiful. It had already been two hours...
Your mother had come in twice, having arrived early in the morning. Your relationship was no where near repaired, though you had had a few opportunities to speak with her and your father in the past weeks. But you found her nervous energy a nice distraction from your own. The first time she came in to check you were awake and you were positive you were going through with it. Thankfully her questioning seemed to focus on Taehyung's character and motive, something you could easily talk about. You loved him, and he loved you, there was no question there. The second time she came in to bother the makeup team. She fussed over your eyeshadow being too dark and your hair not falling quite right. At one point you thought a hairstylist was going to chuck a brush at her head, fortunately your father called for her to go a greet people who arrived early.
No one else came to visit. You were told your bridal party would be allowed in one hour before, currently they were all supposedly going through basic media training and dealing with a glam squad of their own. Afterall they would be in front of the cameras too.

Taehyung's mother swept in to the room at 5 am sharp.
"Everybody up!" His mother called switching on all the lights.
The men blinked as the brightness surrounded them. Thankfully Tae had suspected this wake up call so they all slept separately with the exception of Namjoon and Jungkook.
With the aura of a drill sergeant, Taehyung's mother commanded the room, no time for complaints. The group was instructed through a series of push ups, star jumps, and burpees, before they were allowed to eat a light breakfast. No salt, no bubbles, no bloat.
They were then each handed an itinerary. A carefully designed schedule down to the last second. Each man was given a bathroom time, a suit fitting, a makeup slot, and an 'interview time'.
"What is interview time?" Jungkook asked, bunny ears drooping.
"Forget that... why have I got a make up slot... I don't wear make up" Hobi points out.
"You do today," Taehyung's mom says leaving no room to argue. "And interview time is when you will each go in and speak to our PR manager to learn how to speak to the press later today. Taehyung mentioned none of you have been part of a media storm before and we need you prepared, we don't want any fuck ups." She fixes each of them with an icy stare and then turns to leave.
"But when do we get to see Y/N?" Yoongi says scrutinising his paper.
"The groomsmen will see her when she walks down the isle, as is typical of weddings. Those on the brides side will be shown to her room 1 hour before the ceremony. Now quickly boys, you are eating into your schedules and I need you six to be pristine."
The men scattered, eager not to get on the wrong side of the family this early on.
__________
Taehyung had a much nicer wake up call. His sister crept into his room and stroked his hair gently until he roused, much like he had to her when they were young.
"Oppa, it's time to get ready. Father will be in ten minutes and it will look better if you're already moving."
"Thank you Eun Jin." He sat up and pulled his sister close, "I'm getting married today." He sighed happily.
He kissed his sister's forehead and pushed the covers away jumping up to start the day, a dreamy smile stuck on his face. Not even finding his mother's stupidly over planned schedule stuck to his door could dampen his mood, he just hoped the others were getting on okay with whatever tasks had been assigned to them.
________
"Jeez..." Namjoon sighs out of breath, returning to the room in just pyjama bottoms. "Why the fuck is that damned bathroom so far away, I almost missed my shower time completely.
"Ah sh... I better get running then, mine is next," Yoongi grumbles grabbing some spare clothes and sprinting out of the room.
"It was that bad? The bridal party shower was literally down the hall..." Hobi muses, a little smugly.
Namjoon takes the towel from around his neck and snaps it at the human.
"Ow, that hurt!" Hobi pouted, rubbing at his arm dramatically.
"Oh no, really, I didn't mean to actually hit you..." Namjoon drops the towel and immediately goes to Hoseok's side. "It's not even red.." He says pulling Hobi's hand away.
"I know, but now I can do this," Hoseok wraps his arms around Namjoon's bare waist and pushes until they both fall on to the bed.
He tickles the taller man, but to avail, it would seem Namjoon is not actually ticklish like he had hoped. He finds himself pinning down a mildly annoyed looking bear instead. Hobi gulps and attempts to scramble away before retaliation can take place but he is too slow. He lands on the mattress with a thud as Namjoon flips them with barely any effort.
"That wasn't nice Hobi," Namjoon growls.
Namjoon leans down until their noses touch. Hobi refuses to close his eyes, something he saw in a nature documentary once said you should stare down a bear that's about to attack... he thinks... or maybe it said you really shouldn't do that...
He doesn't need to worry about it for too long. Namjoon closes the gap and claims his mouth for himself, sending Hobi dizzy with need for breath but he doesn't dare try to pull away until a cough sounds near the door.
"Not that I don't love a good show, but you guys are drifting pretty far off the schedule" Jin admonishes.
Both men on the bed turn scarlet as they shuffle off the mattress and rush to find their suits.

"Jeez this can't be the way to this freaking bathroom," Yoongi grumbles as he takes another turn,
By all logic he should've gone in a square by now but he had yet to come across the door outlined by the map on the back of the paper he had been handed that morning. Resigned to his fate and with only 15 minutes left to spare, Yoongi opens random doors in hopes of coming across a different bathroom, or someone he could ask at the very least.
And boy does he come across someone.
Breath-taking
It's the only word he could use to describe you as he walks into what must be your suite.
You are staring at yourself in a full length trifold mirror. Your three reflections glance up and meet his eyes, a soft smile forming on your lips. But it doesn't hide the tears in your eyes.
"Y/N" He closes the door behind him.
In seconds he is across the room and you are in his arms. The minute you touch him he can feel you anxiety. Your scent drips with it thick like molasses, your skin is clammy, and you feel cold.
"Y/N," he says again, his voice sad.
"I'm okay." You affirm, but it's your least convincing attempt yet.
"We are not doing this." He argues.
"We aren't. I am." You pull away from him and catch the tears on your eyelashes before they have a chance to ruin your make up.
"I'm not going to let you do something that is making you this uncomfortable Y/N, please don't make us watch you go through with this. We will find another way to help Tae."
"I can do this. Why don't you believe I can do this?"
"I believe you can, I don't believe you should..."
"Miss Y/L/N? Are you ready to move on? We need to do pre wedding photos." An attendant calls through connecting door.
"Don't mention this to the others.... I'll see you soon,"
You kiss him quickly on the cheek and pull yourself up to your full height, taking a deep breath before disappearing into the other room.
Yoongi forgets his shower entirely, sprinting back to the bedroom. Taehyung had joined the others by now, they were all dressed and waiting for him so they could go to the interview prep together.
"Did you get completely lost Hyung" Jimin asks.
"Yeah, you look like you didn't shower at all," Hobi comments.
Yoongi thinks about you asking him not to tell for a fraction of a second,
"I found Y/N. We have to stop the wedding."
The faces around him show a mixture of emotions. Shock on Namjoon and Hobi, sadness on Jimin and Jungkook, understanding on Jin, and complete despair on Taehyung's.
"Why?" the panda's voice is barely above a whisper.
"I'm so sorry Tae, but she isn't ready for this. She is making herself sick over this wedding."
"Should I go and speak to her?" Taehyung asks, already heading for the door.
Jimin grabs his arm before he can go.
"I think we should talk to each other first." Jin suggests.
And so they sit down and talk, and talk, and talk. They talk about why you are so stressed out, they talk about Taehyung's money issue, they talk about how the house is wrapped up in this deal, and they talk about their lack of solutions. They talk until they've gone in the same circle one hundred times. The only conclusion being that they can't let today go ahead as planned.
