Taehyung likes to hang out in the comic book cafe where he can quietly enjoy his own obsession towards comics without his friends knowing.

One day, he stumbles upon Jimin, a dance major student from the university Taehyung goes to and also his crush. He looks at Jimin browsing through the aisle before settling on the floor as he picked up a comic book. Taehyung quickly discovers that Jimin likes the comic so much based on the giggles that seemed to escape his mouth as he reads.

When Jimin had left, Taehyung decided to leave a post it note on the comic book that Jimin read.

Soon enough, the two began to exchange notes without Jimin knowing the identity of Taehyung.

Jeon Jungkook is a skillful jaeger but after one battle that takes the life of his lover and partner, he decides to quit and live off his days as a trainer to young pilots.

Park Jimin lives in the abandoned town of Busan alongside his bestfriend Kim Taehyung. They basically survived by scavenging the abandoned stores and houses. Despite the jaeger pilots being technically viewed as saviors for fighting off the kaiju but Jimin holds a deep hatred for them, his parents were not killed by a kaiju but rather a jaeger.

As much as Jimin loathes them, Taehyung is an entirely different matter. He wants to be a jaeger pilot.

Upon Taehyung's birthday, he and Jimin had a fight due to Jimin finding out about Taehyung hoarding jaeger parts in order to make his own. Suddenly a kaiju appears in busan where Jimin and Taehyung lives. When his bestfriend's life was put in danger, Jimin had no choice but help the guy, who introduced himself as jungkook to pilot an old jaeger.

Despite being strangers, the duo found themselves in a perfect coordination. After the battle, Jimin gets dragged to the center to train as a jaeger pilot and Jungkook's partner while Taehyung as a mechanic.

Meanwhile, Jungkook isn't happy with the news. He's not happy into revealing his secrets to a guy he just met and Jimin, vice versa.

Vocal performance major Kim Seokjin and Dance performance major Jung Hoseok are widely known in the whole campus as rivals in the tennis club despite being in the same team. Their competitive streak isn't really helping the case when both of them are highly skilled players.

The others think that there's no hope for the two to get along until Hoseok stumbles upon Seokjin practicing a song for a showcase and he falls in love with his voice.

But he's too stubborn to admit it. As time passes by, Hoseoks finds himself sneaking off to secretly listen to Seokjin practice until the male catches him.

Jimin and Jungkook met under a maple tree during a summer camp in Busan. The two kids quickly grew closer due to their mutual interest in music and dancing. Sadly, time flew by quickly, and before they knew it, summer was over. Jungkook had to go back to Seoul.

And when he went to bid Jimin goodbye, they made a promise to see eachother again. They both made a letter for eachother and buried it under the maple tree with the promise to open it when they see eachother again.

Unfortunately, Jungkook got too caught up with life and forgot Jimin while Jimin continued to write letters for Jungkook and burying it under the maple tree, hoping he'll be able to read it.

Years later, Jimin and Jungkook meet again when they were casted to be the main leads of a movie whose story will revolve around a maple tree in Busan.
