My First Kiss Went a Little Like This…

leighton arrived to the park 10 minutes on the dot ! He was so overjoyed for Lucy and he wanted to celebrate her and her handwork, at least that’s what he tells himself.

leighton: we have a reservation at the diner by the way, so we should probably leave now

lucy: wait leighton you didn’t have to, you coming out here is more than enough

leighton: no buts, this is a celebration!!

so they headed to the diner and got talking. lucy didn’t really know much about leighton apart from how handsome and kind and sweet and…. this was her chance to find out more. they both talked about their interests, their goals, their dreams and he literally was mr right. talking to him she also found out he was a single dad… ugh he’d be such a good dad she thought to herself as she daydreamed a little.

after they had finished their meal they both felt as if they’ve know eachother forever and their chemistry was engulfing all of the oxygen around them.

lucy had to make a move… and she DID.

First Car !

after many hard days and nights working in the kitchen lucy finally reached level 4 in her career as an ingredient taster !!

she wanted to treat herself for this amazing achievement and bought herself her first ever car with her rainy day savings. to celebrate she drove to her favourite place in town (the park) and called her new friend tori. tori was ecstatic for lucy as she was now closer to achieving her dream than she’s ever been !! she also teased lucy about leighton and how she’d tell him about the promotion if lucy didn’t.

after the phone call ended lucy thought about what was stopping her from calling him? so she breathed in deeply and mustered up the courage to call and awkwardly told him about this exciting news.

leighton: where are you now ?

lucy: um at the park

leighton: ill be there in 10 minutes, dont move! we’re going out to celebrate !! *hangs up*

lucy: WHATTTT ?!!

NEVER JOGGING AGAIN !!

working at the bistro lucy quickly climbed the ranks. no matter how hard the work she was constantly inspired by the atmosphere and learning everything she could from her amazing colleagues.

one day after work she wanted to really knuckle down and add to her arsenal of recipes that she had and jogged to the local book store. and OH BOY what a mistake that was. lucy had many things she enjoyed like cooking… the outdoors and appreciating the finer things in life, BUT vigorous physical activity wasn’t part of that lifestyle. man was she sweating (pulling those funny faces helped alleviate her pain).

once lucy had her mini asthma attack outside the store she vowed to never run again and headed into the bookstore where she proceeded to blow her new pay rise on a bunch of recipe books and began reading immediately. she was so excited!

Meet Cute ??

after her first day of work at the bistro ended lucy decided to reward herself by unwinding at the pool. the sun was out and she spent hours just floating around and relaxing, lapping up the water.

once she was finally ready to go home she went to the bathroom to change. walking in she found herself face to face with a MAN ??? who is he and why is he in the girls change room ?? she’s ready to square up but he snaps lucy out of her angry confusion.

leighton: “ughm this is the guys change room”

WHAT?? what did he just say? lucy runs out still confused but embarrassment rising to the surface. she looks back at the doors sign which only backed up his statement. what have i done lucy thought to herself.

lucy feels a tap on her shoulder and turns around, her face turning red as she sees the man.

leighton: “im so sorry for startling you, you’ve just moved to town havent you?” he says.

lucy: “is it that obvious?”

leighton: “well yeah, everyone knows everyone around here and i’d definitely remember a face like yours. my name’s leighton by the way. its nice to finally meet you”

lucy: “aha hello, i’m lucy. im so sorry about before” omg your so stupid, what is happening… wait he’s kind of, very cute she thinks to herself.

they end up chatting for a bit and exchange contact information. lucy is so shaken by the encounter that she doesn’t realise he’s flirting with her. he just finds her so adorable.

returning home she kept replaying the event over and over in her dreams. she wonders if she’ll bump into him again.

First Day In Town

after moving into her new storage unit of a house and decorating it as much as she could afford to, lucy immediately went to work looking for jobs in the local paper. at the very end of the list of jobs advertised was a dishwasher opening at the same bistro she has always dreamed of working at. this was her lucky day.

immediately she went to the bistro to apply and introduced herself to some of the townsfolk. everyone gathered around her wanting to chat as it was rare having someone new move to the town. Lucy hoped that she made a good impression and wished that she could make many new friends in sunset valley. her boss molly french thought that lucy was absolutely darling and hired her for their open position. we were now at the bottom of the barrel in the culinary industry but this only motivated lucy to work hard to make her way to the top.

after that eventful afternoon she explored the town a little bit and ended up at the park where she tried to teach herself to play some chess and lost track of time while struggling through the game. eventually she gave up and went home after many failed attempts. but that didn’t really bother her as she was still buzzing from the excitement of the day.

Meet Lucy Mayfair

welcome to sunset valley, this is lucy the founder for my lepacy challenge !!

lucy was raised by her grandmother for most of her life as her mother passed away when she was very young. she was a very kind and reserved young girl always helping her grandmother out as much as she possibly could… especially in the kitchen ! they were inseparable and she learnt about true love listening to the stories her grandmother would tell about her grandfather and the mischief they got up to together when they were young. unfortunately as lucy approached her final year of high school her grandmother got very sick and by the end of that year she passed away. lucy was always taught to follow her dreams and passions so she promised herself that she’d achieve her goals no matter what and make her grandmother proud. she moved to the suburbs of sunset valley to work at the high class bistro !! her goal now is to become the greatest chef the town has ever known and memories every single recipe there is to know !! maybe even finding her one true love along the way.
