Each time I stew and sit on this, I get the feeling that Javier is a berserker bottom and Bill a tender top within their very uniquely nuanced dynamic.
Javier loves to watch as the passion and want builds and builds inside Bill, emotions and desires HE is able to elicit in the other man.
He loves to watch Bill snap and give in to his thirst for him, loves feeling trapped within that boiling cage and be consumed.
He loves to point out the inner passion that Bill is not truly aware he himself possesses, as Javier delights in being the one who is capable of enouraging Bill to tune into his inner sexy dragon (that he has plenty of, but is practically a stranger to because of the low levels of confidence he starts off with).
Bringing out those emotions and traits in Bill, allowing him to bask in it and let go, is the true turn on for Javier, loves to see the other bloom and battle with him.
Because Javier revels in the struggle, and in the process of being devoured and possesseed.
He loves that because he knows that no matter how much the older man lets his needs and desires possess him, that impetus will always come from a place of love and adoration. The fire will ravage and light ablaze and burn, but never harm. Javier loves to push Bill because he knows he will always be safe when Bill pushes back, knows he is cherished and protected in those big hands, both figuratively and literally.
So, in a sense, Javier dominates as a way to submit.
Bill loves the chaotic, bright force of nature that is Javier, his intensity, his passion and carnality. And those goddamn things Javier says with that mouth of his, bringing so close to the brink every single time.
He loves to be surrounded by the other's storm, by its magnetic energy that pulls him in, the force that unravels and brings out parts of him he wasn't sure he even had, giving Bill the opportunity to own those traits and feel the confidence flow through him.
He loves to take charge and go hard but only within the perimeter/confines Javier sets. Bill needs Javier to set his own carnality on fire.
He finds purpose in providing Javier with what the other needs, as Javier instinctively knows what Bill wants within the same exchange.
It couls be said then that Bill submits (very enthusiasitically) as a way to dominate, as a way to get in touch with parts of who he is, parts that just can't emerge with anyone else.
They are the components of a volatile chemical combo whose explosive reaction does not bring harm and chaos, but balance.
Javier looks more collected and put together on the surface, but is a malestorm inside;
Bill looks chaotic and disorganized on the outside, but has an innate core of mindful resolve inside him, one that normally gets shadowed Bill's lack of confidence.
I have a feeling he manages to fully access this part of himself when he is with and near Javier, as the younger man's mere presence turns on an inner switch that allows him to figure out how his own scrambled puzzle pieces fit, in response to Javier's own.
