Guys, I really really need some help..

My soulmate/dog, Susie, swallowed an entire chicken bone last night and had to get emergency care. She had to stay in the animal hospital for 12 hours and have a procedure to remove the bone. The bone caused active bleeding in her stomach. They were not able to retrieve all of the fragments, so she still has a small piece in her GI, which may or may not pass without hurting her. Thank god we took her in when we did. The vet explained that bone shards often perforate the GI tact and can cause serious medical problems and even death.

Our vet bill was $2400 because of the urgency, after hours, and all the medications and tests that Susie needed. My husband is JUST about to start Medical School, and we had just enough saved to move and pay for some of his tuition. We had to use that money last night to save Susie’s life.
