I saw it and got inspired 😏
stampgaze vashwood
Happy pride month to this little guy who will be arriving at everyone's homes pretty soon
No cops at pride, only the vash plushie
HAPPY PRIDE MONTH TO THE PEOPLE WHO MANAGED TO GET THIS BASTARD 3 YEARS LATER
Vash the Stanpeat
I've seen some people interpret Vash's thoughts about Wolfwood after he kills Legato as him realizing he'd been wrong about Wolfwood in the scene when he tells Wolfwood that he give gives up too easily. But I don't believe that personally, because I don't think he was wrong.
I don't think he was saying he thinks that killing is easy for Wolfwood in that scene, I don't think that's what he meant by "giving up", but rather that Wolfwood gives up on himself too easily, specifically he gives up on his own potential to change for the better and stop being a killer. And yeah, Wolfwood does in fact do that at that point in the series, he has plenty of internal monologues about how he feels irredeemably stained by his sins and can't be anything but a killer. He also often projects these feelings towards himself onto humanity as a whole. It takes quite some time for him to actually start thinking that he's capable of making that choice for himself, that humanity by extension is capable of it, and it takes him WORK to get to that point.
For someone in Wolfwood's position it WOULD be easier, understandably, to think that little of himself, because he's been conditioned to think that way for most of his life. And he has pretty significant motivation to keep killing to protect the orphanage, heck to protect Vash as well. I highly doubt Vash looks down on him for it, he just hates that it's how Wolfwood feels about himself. And I think it's a mark of Wolfwood's determination and strength that he does manage to get to the point of not giving up on himself anymore after everything he's been through, even if he ends up dying for it. He worked hard for the peace of mind he managed to attain by the end, and he successfully saves Livio because of that determination.
I think in the scene after killing Legato, Vash isn't thinking "oh god, I was so wrong about Wolfwood", quite the opposite. I think he's thinking "oh god, I was so right about Wolfwood" because he's empathizing with Wolfwood in a way he couldn't before, because he is now feeling exactly how easy it would be to give up on himself too and think of himself as eternally damned for what he's done. But this time it's his turn to not give in, to make the choice to start again no matter how hard it would be to do so. Just like Wolfwood did. It wouldn't be fair if he didn't, after saying that to Wolfwood back then. And I think that plays a big part in why he saves Knives instead of killing him, why he continues to refuse to kill. Which is especially important when you consider how Legato wanted to break and stain Vash permanently with his death. He failed to do that, and I think Wolfwood is a major reason why. It perfectly exemplifies the meaning behind the "blank ticket to the future" idiom. It's not about never failing, it's about continuing to try anyways, even if you do fail. That's my personal take on that scene at least.
I miss trigunposting but I'm still wary of publicly engaging with the fandom tbh
when will my blorbos return from the war....
Wolfwood and Badtz-Maru!
cephalophore noun (greek, lit. 'head-carrier')
A saint who is generally depicted carrying their severed head. In Christian art, this was usually meant to signify that the subject in question had been martyred by beheading.
Has Nicholas D. Wolfwood ever had an issue with the computer on his motorbike refusing to acknowledge his key in the starter, I wonder
That's your wife and foil, little one! You can't be acting like this!
vash writing self insert fanfiction about him and wolfwood
MISSION STATUS: SICK
Giggling as I remember at the end of Stampede, Wolfwood is in a sense a free man. He's no longer the Punisher he's Nicholas D. Wolfwood now, he has his life to himself and can choose to do what he pleases.
And he decides to take Vash's gun and go wander this desert planet with no direction until he found him again no matter how long it took...which is a totally normal thing to do for a guy you didn't know for very long that is probably dead based on the evidence yeah very normal
Honestly i would love a trigun spinoff that’s genuinely just mostly casual non main story important plot. Like just a whole bunch of side stories. Mainly because i want to know how the fuck vash ended up in that situation at the beginning of stampede
