it took a good minute for any response to come... then a little clink of the door unlocking and— a very disheveled sleeby boy

he yawned, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes

he shuffled to make room, welcoming smile :3?

Candy was just outside of one of the many big-donut ripoff stores.. nomming quietly on a bagel before a sudden wave of nausea hit him..

"...?"

Was the bagel bad? He waited a moment, and when the feeling didn't go away he simply tossed the bagel to the seagulls and went about his day..

Walking down the boardwalk... His feet felt heavier than usual... And.. was it supposed to be this hot today?

He huffed.. every step seemed to take more and more effort before he practically fell over, head swimming...

"ugh..."

Stars— what was in that bagel? He was starting to regret his decision to feed it to the birds

He shakily sat down, not wanting to bust his head open with all this swaying... He was... Very extra glowy today..

And perhaps in need of some assistance...

He had his head in his hands, looked barely able to hold it up, which was only more evident when he looked up to Crow

He almost automatically took that opportunity to use Crow as a headrest... His head on their shoulder... Was he smaller than normal?

"Jus' dizzy... Probably nothing.."

He closed his eyes... Comf....

His body temperature was a little higher than normal.. barely noticeable just by holding his hand, but... His face was definitely warmer..

He grumbled a little in response... It took a second for him to actually form words.. he sounded half asleep

*comfy is good.. but need to get home. Gently stood up, pulling Candy off the bench. Supporting all of him that he could. Probably not much though.*

He was a little wobbly, but didn't seem to want to put much weight onto Crow in the first place, only leaning on them as he needed when the dizzyness kicked in which—

Was a lot more often than not

Vision kept flashing white.. stomach turning.. strength sapped from all of his being just from this nausea,,,

He's. Never really been sick before this is new

The stairs were the hardest part- Candy just barely stumbling up them, he looked drained by the time they got inside

Through clutter shenanigans his room was close to the stairs, pearl white door with a little name badge next to it reading;

"Candy"

Candy stumbled. Wacking into the wall instead of falling towards Crow. . .

*he took him again, staying close to the wall to help candy, and opened the door for him, leading them to the bed immediately.*

Candy basically just. Collapsed face first into the bed with a relieved sigh.

That was WAY harder than it needed to be, his body was trembling. Sweaty... Probably stinky, but.. he didn't care right now

Very muffled.. face buried in blankets..

Candys bed was. Large— his whole room was actually..

Big bed. Big closet- empty spaces littered with instruments and fabrics (Zephyr uses his room as storage)

And a balcony with multiple transparent layers of curtians.... It was cozy

He huffed, turning his head so that it wasn't in the blankets..

Gentle little pat pat on the bed... Crow summoning sounds... Psppss...

Sure he doesn't need an excuse to get wing blanketed by Crow, but-

I’d love too.. but you’re sick.. I’ll stay with you but probably best not to sleep together right now. I’m sorry..

He pouted a bit, then pulled the blanket in close to his chest... Cuddling ot a bit..

"alright.."

He hates this already.... Not angry at Crow... Angry at being sick

"theres a chair over there- if you wanna sit..?"

His voice sounded all stuffy now, and half asleep, but wan talk to Crow so no sleep yet...

He had his eyes closed now... Head hurt... Pull blankets closer

Didn't want to sleep... But...

It was hard not to... He made a soft little humm in response to Crow... And... Quickly dozed off...

The glowing died down just a little....

*Crow sat there, watching over it. He hummed softly to himself mostly.*

Candy was a pretty peaceful sleeper...

To the point the only way you knew he was even alive was the soft snoring and rising of his chest— other than that, he was pretty still...

His body seemed to glow.. differently? While he was asleep... A gentle blinking type of glow, slowly fading from almost gone to barely illuminating...

Little... nightlight....

Nothing bad was happening..

He was sleeping..

The only disturbances being the occasional cough or whimpers as he curled up into the blankets... It was freezing for him, but his body was absolutely covered in sweat— thats the best way to get a sickness out of you though isn't it?

He might need a bit of water when he wakes up though

*Crow decided that he’d get the water, that was probably a good idea. He got a pitcher and glass as fast as possible.*

It took him a good 30 minutes to show any signs of waking up... Just still with the occasional dry cough...

That water was gonna come in handy... It sounded like he was hacking up his lungs

And until this sickness faded and he could start healing again- his throat would be sore...

He did wake up eventually though... Squinting in the light- mostly his own light- and groaning softly...

Bbbb... Felt like... Soggy pancake...

"mmn...."

Crows still here,,? He looked surprised, then relieved, then happy

"hu..lo angel..."

His voice was cracking- he did sound a little better though... Minus, of course, the voice part

*he offered him the glass of water. He had watched over his sleep to make sure he was okay*

Super groggy.. barely keeping his eyes open still as he sat up to take the water.

Which he practically inhaled

Felt good on his sore throat,, body appreciated it too.

Sitting up now, wrapped in blanket like burrito

‘Course.. need a cough drop? Something to eat?

He did a little streach, going to shuffle himself out of bed

"not... Particularly hungry feelin'... I can try .."

Haven't really eaten all day...

*he stopped him from getting up, gently putting a hand on his chest*

Small sound of protest... He huffed and nodded though

"alright..."

Curl back into blanket, shivering a bit

*he went down to the kitchen; getting some food and stuff for him. Eventually he came back with a grilled cheese, and tomato soup, and a pitcher of water with a glass.*

Smile at the kiss.... Happy,, watching in gay admiration as Crow left the room..

Crow would come back to a... Half asleep Candy... His fever has went down but— his body was still tryna recover

He hasn't been sick in YEARS.

Almost surprised jolt as Crow entered the room, dazed for a moment before he smiled

"here you cn'... Sit that on the coffee table.."

*he nodded, setting the tray on the table. He carefully offered the soup and grilled cheese to Candy, then pouring and setting a glass on the bedside table.*

He took the soup... Not really.. feeling like he'd be able to stomach the grilled cheese though

He sipped the soup... Felt good to fill his stomach...

"you're the best.."

Another sip before he sat the soup down, stomach doing a little turn... Sign to stop
