It always makes me laugh when redditors say Freytos could never happen bc he killed her son... BC THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT SEXY! THAT'S WHAT MAKES FREYTOS AN ALL-TIMER SHIP! It's about growth and forgiveness and moving forward... On all sides. The Norns said Kratos AND Freya AND Baldur were all responsible for Baldur's death: so when Freya moves forward with Kratos she is finally starting to forgive herself AND her son for their respective choices.

"I see them more as friends" YES CORRECT they are friends! They've gone from reluctant allies to friends then back to (one sided) enemies and finally (best) friends again... And they will still be friends in 100, 200, 1000 years... But maybe in time it'll grow to something more? It's the slow-burn + emotional development + understanding the two characters have that appeals to me... Not just that they're a man and a woman standing next to eachother. Freya will never move on from Baldur's death but she can start forgiving herself and Kratos for their part in it. Ship of the century.

While playing the God of War Norse saga,

I always thought that even though Faye's death was part of her own plan, a part of her deep down probably didn't want to die—if only because she'd worry so much about Kratos and Atreus.

I'm so glad that the new God of War Laufey trailer finally gave us a glimpse into those feelings of hers🥺

hi I like ur art, but can I ask why you don't like heimtreus/kratreus? I don't ship it either but I was just curious

First of all, I absolutely hate bottom Atreus. I hate everything about objectifying and feminizing him. Their characterization is just so fucking ugly 😭 I think there is a clear line between liking Atreus ships and straight up sexualizing him. I completely despise people who portray him as a "twink bottom" just because he is a boy, and consider them all disgusting pedophiles. Like, what do you mean he's a twink? He's literally 14. Every guy looks like a "twink" at that age lol. So basically I hate every single ship where Atreus is a bottom & paired with an adult. If he grows a beard later and becomes some bear adult, then sure, sexualizing him is fine. But right now? It is just dumbass pedophilic characterization.

As for Kratreus, yeah, it is pedo incest, we already know. But my hate goes deeper than that. God of War is a game fundamentally about a father and son's bond, and anyone turning that into a ship clearly does not understand familial love, let alone basic human connection. Did they even play the game? They are just forcing this fetishy dad-son trope without giving a shit about the actual story or character depth. In a way you almost have to pity these shippers because they clearly do not get what familial, platonic love feels like. But why do they gotta flash it in front of everyone and ruin our eyes?

On Heimtreus, honestly, even if Atreus was grown up, I would still think this ship is ass. There is zero build-up between them compared to what shippers hallucinate. They want them to be arch-nemeses so bad, but it is just not there. Kratos is the one who killed Heimdall, and Atreus was literally just like, "Huh, okay," and did not care. Heimdall is not even uniquely obsessed with bullying Atreus. He is an asshole to Thrud too. Shippers want that "fated rivals yaoi" energy so bad, but the chemistry is literally not there. It is hilarious how they gaslight themselves into thinking this made-up dynamic is real and make content out of it.
