Welcome to my blog! I'm Kito, Werecat, Jay or the Cygnus Constellation (collective name; we're typically an empty system but occasionally get members). I feel like I would be happier if I got one (1) chase session with some good friend every so often maybe once a month where one is like the hunter n the other is an animal of their choosing and basically you full on sprint through a field/park/forest/any clearing of land, and like the goal is to 'end' the animal, as in, pin them down and pretend to take out their heart or something, and you pretty much have to 'run for your life' but ahaha its all fun because you are best friends and you'll get up later and go for a nice cup of tea and waffles and chill in some run down diner because you're best buddies.

There's this lapse in therian, transspecies, and other animal(-istic) oriented spaces (even in the furry community where it's largely roleplay and rarely anyone identifies with or as a nonhuman) where one will "stay in their species" and refuse to venture outside of it.

Nonhumanity, beasthood, whatever term fits best for you as the reader, hinges on the idea that biology doesn't determine species, that species is a construct to justify one's separation and abuse from the Earth and all that inhabits it, that it and other classifications are fluid in that sense and can get ever more so. It's based in the idea that parts of an identity can "contradict" each other.

So why is it that these communities will often 'pick' one species and limit themselves to it? Why is it that every other post there's someone confused over phantom/physical wing shifts when their species doesn't have it? Why is it that non-amphibians geek out over how cool it would be to have gills, only to frame it as 'silly' because their -type doesn't posses them?

You can be physically a wolf and mentally a beetle. You can be a biological shark with a dove's wings. You can be a robot with organic fins. The fursona you use doesn't have to be 'realistic' 'unique' 'aesthetically pleasing' or 'symbolic', it can be anything you like. The gear that gives you euphoria doesn't have to be of your species. You can work towards gaining gills as an otter because you'd find them useful.

Mixing and matching your physical, mental, and spiritual components is okay. Redefine how you view species. Redefine how you view yourself as inhuman.

i personally love and feel so happy to see individuals create terms and labels they feel most comfortable with. The alterhuman community as a whole is so damn creative and I adore the online world that has been created with all the wonderful words and ideas and experiences of different critters sharing and creating all sorts of wonder..

Is there a pet regression tag that isn't full of crosstagged agere content. No hate to age regressors of course but I just don't relate to most of the posts, the aesthetics, etc. and want to find stuff specifically about feeling like a little creature instead of a little human

Also regression content that isn't super pastel...? Not to whine but I never related to that much. Brighter colours or darker cozier colours are much more petre to me... Like even when it comes to more agere-adjacent/non-animal specific stuff I imagine/associate with cozying under fluffy blankets with only fairy lights to light the way. Maybe with plushies. In that case it'd be kinda dim with a few bright colours, certainly not super bright pastel pinks and blues that are nearly white.... That kinda thing

I'm a rock! Specifically granite, probably a laccolith that formed like 4+ billion years ago. And yes, I have phantom/mental shifts, they're very peaceful :)

I think it's a really important and beautiful thing that we are holding onto old forums still. I genuinely didn't even know so many alterhuman-centric forums used to exist??? I'm pleasantly, very surprised. Please go check these out, I think they're important for other alter humans to see ^.=.^

I feel like using modality prefixes like cis-, trans-, tris-, etc. for non-gender qualities like species would honestly be a great way to explain some things, but unfortunately I feel like radqueers have co-opted that too much
