Hannibal S03E07 "Digestivo"
Thinking about how Hannibal compared Will to Patroclus, who died after being stabbed in the stomach, and then stabbed Will in the stomach in the very next episode
hello… it’s been years. bio says 22???! im about to be 25.
drawing this frame of will in digestivo feels like a hannibal artist rite of passage
The Dragon of Wantley is a ballad written in the seventeenth century and it’s still one of the funniest things I’ve read
Like it’s all about a knight who goes out to kill a dragon and the first thing he does is put on a suit of armor covered in spikes. And everyone reading the poem who has a passing knowledge of English folklore nods and goes “Hm yes like the Lambton Worm. So the dragon is going to wrap itself around the knight and get skewered, a very common image in folklore”
But what actually happens is the knight just kicks the dragon in the ass, the dragon makes a soliloquy for two verses, and fucking dies
At length the hard earth began to quake, The dragon gave him a knock, Which made him to reel, and straitway he thought, To lift him as high as a rock, And thence let him fall. But More of More-hall, Like a valiant son of Mars, As he came like a lout, so he turn’d him about, And hit him a kick on the arse.
“Oh,” quoth the dragon, with a deep sigh, And turn’d six times together, Sobbing and tearing, cursing and swearing Out of his throat of leather; “More of More-hall; O thou rascal! Would I had seen thee never; With the thing at thy foot, thou hast prick’d my arse gut, And I’m quite undone for-ever.
“Murder, murder,” the dragon cry’d, “Alack, alack, for grief; Had you but mist that place, you could Have done me no mischief.” Then his head he shaked, trembled and quaked, And down he laid and cry’d; First on one knee, then on back tumbled he, So groan’d, kickt, shat, and dy’d.
@rebrandedbard I don’t know why exactly but this wild thing seems very relevant to your interests

“There is a message from god inside my mouth. You can only read it with your tongue. The word is, the point is, yes.”

“It is like losing a year of your life. To what would you lose a year of your life? Afterward, you go back to the old place— all that remains is char: blackness and emptiness. You think: how could I live here? But it was different then, even last summer. The earth behaved as though nothing could go wrong with it. One match was all it took. But at the right time—it had to be the right time. The field parched, dry— the deadness in place already so to speak.”
— Louise Glück, from Averno; “Landscape”
hey if you died right now whats your ghost outfit you cant change it be honest
