But I will say the one thing I do dislike with this crossover ship is the lack of Iron Lung art. There's a lot of Project Hail Mary art, a lot of Bloodymary art, but a big lack of **just** Iron Lung art
And a lot of people are so obsessed with BloodMary (I've even seen some people who haven't seen Iron Lung but ship it, which is insane), so much so that Adrian and Rocky are just... Forgotten. Which is weird to me too.
Like, I just really wish there was more stuff for just Iron Lung or just Rocky and Adrian
Markiplier worked really hard for this movie and it's just kinda shitty that most of the stuff for it is a crossover ship, some stuff made by people who haven't even see the movie. Again, big fan of crossovers and this ship because I do really like the concept of it, but it's just sad the lack of Iron Lung support compared to how much support Project Hail Mary got as a solo thing

Okay so I will admit that I do like bloodymary content. I like platonic crossovers with Project Hail Mary and Iron Lung. I am a fan of both movies and can separate them from each other and appreciate both movies for their own stories and terrific plots
But some people who ship bloodymary genuinely can't do that and it's getting annoying
People are admitting they hate iron lung and love bloodymary or they're basically making Simon an oc or ignoring any other characters of both movies to focus solely on the crossover ship

again, I like bloodymary. I found out about Iron Lung but was unable to see it until after I learned about bloodymary but I fell in love with Iron Lung like crazy. It's such a compelling story and the societies and characters are all complex
I saw Project Hail Mary in theatres without reading the book and I was blown away with how wonderful it was. I love the themes about platonic love and I fell in love with Rocky and Adrian and Ilyukhina and Yao and Stratt
Both movies are truly works of art and both deserve a lot of attention and praise. And bloodymary has made them more popular, yes, but it's getting too much with how some shippers are acting. If you're going to make stuff about bloodymary, don't ignore Rocky. Don't ignore the complexity of both characters, don't rewrite Simon's whole fucking character to fit stereotypes better. Don't assume every fan of project hail Mary or every fan of Iron Lung is going to like Bloodymary just because it's popular. Stop acting like it's a sin to dislike your crossover ship.
And again, I like bloodymary. I've read fics, read fan comics, liked artworks, I've written fics (not posted) but I can separate the movies, I can appreciate both movies, I can refrain from shoving it in people's faces. I focus on the films apart from each other and I focus on other characters. For some bloodymary shippers, it genuinely just feels like you want to fetishize gay men and found a way to do so in terrific movies that have no romance involved

No, Strattland fans arent taking over the whole fandom and harassing people who disagree with their ship

Crossovers are fun when people don't overdo it and start acting up or disrespecting the media, the fans, or the characters
"you can't disrespect a fictional character" no but it's messed up to completely rewrite one to fit boxes for you yaoi. Simon isn't an innocent and scared little cat. Grace isn't an innocent little boy. They both have outrages and get mad. they both cry and break down in awful situations, not because they're soft or wimpy people but because they're sent to death missions. They are both grown adults and complex characters who are in unimaginable situations with incredible pressure on their backs. And you break them down to simple, boring characters to make them kiss or fuck and it's disappointing
What started out as a cool crossover ship between two cool movies for fun is turning into a smut fest and making the fandoms worse because all the other characters and world building gets ignored so you can see two men be gay. Shipping is supposed to be fun and enjoyable but it's not fun and enjoyable if you can separate the fandom from canon and if you harass people for criticism. It's not fun if you're changing every interesting and cool thing about a character to make it more appealing for them to be gay and in a relationship for yourself.
I still like bloodymary because I'm so fixated on both simultaneously that I think it's fun to think about them meeting and stuff but it's just sucky to see if become worse and not as enjoyable. Like change things up every once in a while. Do the crossover thing but make it platonic. Make Grace go to the C.O.I instead of Simon going to Erid. Keep their characters complex. Keep your mind able to separate fandom and original media
And don't harass and hate on anti bloodymary. It just makes yourself look like an uncontrollable shipper and that won't help shit. Learn to respect people's opinions and not be a crappy fan because then you make everyone else assume every fan is a crappy one too.
And please please please focus on other characters of the fandoms!!! Not just Simon and Grace!!! It's so much better to see stuff with all the characters and not just the yaoi guys

Maybe itās the autism in me but I canāt wrap my head around people who say āI just donāt understand gay/trans people.ā in a derogatory way. I donāt GET anyone. I donāt have to understand why someone is the way they are to accept that they are that way. Why are you trying to make a woman explain what it feels like to be a woman to defend her womanhood? You canāt understand it anyway. I truly do not give a fuck if you donāt get it. There are many beautiful works of art I do not get that I accept are important and meaningful in ways I cannot understand.
