There's not really an order to these. Under the link because it got kinda long. Edit: For some reason, the formatting got messed up and I have no clue how it happened.
Murdoc
Has tinnitus from not wearing any hearing protection at loud concerts in his youth. He always badgers Noodle about having proper hearing protection because he does not want her to fuck up her hearing.
Will come into the room to see what's on TV and just stand there watching for a while. Someone will try to offer him a seat, but he will say that he's not watching it. (This is such a dad thing for some reason)
He constantly does the loud throat clearing noises that dads do randomly.
He does shower, but he uses like three-in-one soap that's shampoo, conditioner, body wash, all in one. It's the only thing he'll use because he says it saves money and smells good (it smells like one of those 'manly' scents like freshly cut grass or something)
Whenever Noodle is really upset, he'll take her to get a carton of ice cream. They'll go to one of those little mini-marts, and he'll let her pick out a small carton. They've done this since she was a kid, and it's one of the ways he shows her he cares.
He has a deviated septum from all the times he's been punched in the face. He also tends to breathe through his mouth because of it, though he tries not to.
Also because of his nose being broken repeatedly he smacks loudly when he eats because he has to get more air in through his mouth. (How do I know this? My brother got his nose broken twice accidentally and does this) It gets on everyone's nerves.
Absolutely doesn't give a fuck when he gets stares while trying to buy pads for Noodle. Though he'll call her to ask "what size she needs"
He also just grabs a bunch of sweet and salty food for her since that's what she tends to want when she's on her period.
Murdoc doesn't get sick easily, but when he does he's extremely dramatic about it. He'll stay in bed almost the whole time wrapped up in several blankets to 'sweat it out'
He taught Noodle how to play pool.
He'll just listen to Noodle ramble about a new interest of hers or hobby, even if he doesn't really understand.
2-D
He was supposed to get more treatment to help his eyes, but Murdoc was lazy and took him to the bare minimum of appointments.
His eyes haven't gotten worse, but they haven't really significantly improved. There's rare times when most of the blood will drain, but he's extremely prone to them refilling because of injuries and because of how severe it is. He has medication for them, though. Probably eyedrops and pills to keep them stable.
The reason he squints a lot is due to light sensitivity. He also wears sunglasses because of this.
He honestly developed a lot of medical trauma. Hates going to the doctor or hospitals and won't unless he absolutely needs to. He also never got his teeth fixed because of this.
Has dyslexia and tended to struggle in primary school because of it. I think he might have ADHD as well. (As well as his disabilities due to his traumatic head injuries in canon)
Has undiagnosed HEDS [hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome]. (Sprained his ankles a lot as a kid, was told he had "growing pains" and was "double-jointed" growing up, tall, long limbs, more skin elasticity, which makes him look younger, TMJ, has minor joint pain, and his joints pop often)
Sometimes he can make his knees pop on purpose, and he can stretch his thumbs and other limbs/joints farther back than normal, which he does sometimes to freak Murdoc out. (It just icks him out)
He self-medicates a lot for his chronic pain (migraines, joints, and his eyes) [unsure if this is a headcanon or more so just basically canon at this point]
Has tried to quit smoking throughout the years but has never been fully successful. He hasn't managed to fully cut out cigarettes, but he has drastically cut down on how often he smokes, usually saving them for certain occasions, mainly stress related. Even then he would probably rather have edibles to relax instead of smoking a cigarette.
He introduced Noodle to horror and zombie movies when she was a kid, and they would often watch them together.
While Murdoc is Noodle's sort of father figure, 2-D is more like her older brother. Like I said above, introducing her to scary movies, playing video games with her, and buying her comics. I think he'd also take her to the movie theater.
2-D's parents have an Amazon parrot named Vinny that's two years older than him. He's still alive and is currently 49. He's a mischievous little old man that everyone in his family loves.
2-D still paints and sketches as a hobby from time to time.
He wears reading glasses a lot to help his blurry vision (honestly, this might be kinda canon because there's art of him wearing glasses, reading fan comments, or something like that)
He can see big upclose stuff fine typically, it's just far away or small stuff that gives him trouble.
He seems like the type to have a little yippy kinda purse dog that's sassy and bossy with everyone except him. He would have it registered as an emotional support animal.
He has a Furby, though he took out the batteries because it was creeping him out too much.
Murdoc secretly put the batteries back in and turned it on in the middle of the night to scare 2-D.
2-D usually cuts his own hair and has for years. He has a few upclose magnifying mirrors to help him see better while trimming his hair.
Sometimes though if he just doesn't feel like it he'll get it professionally cut, it also helps to 'refresh' it when done at a salon.
Not so much of a headcanon as it is partially canon, but he's really good at rollerskating and still likes to go rollerskating at roller rinks nearby. Afterwards his joints ache but he thinks it's worth it.
He'll make Murdoc chicken noodle soup when he's sick because he actually does feel bad for him and he knows Murdoc is too tired and sick to mess with him somehow.
Noodle
Liked watching TV, especially cartoons, as a kid, and it helped her 'soak up' the English language easier.

Murdoc bought her one of those 'my body is changing' books (similar to the one from American Girl) when she was around 12, and she found it on her bed randomly one day.
2-D trimmed her bangs for her as a kid.
She has a couple of faded scars on her knees from skateboarding.
Convinced the band to play Minecraft with her a few times. Murdoc spent the whole time messing with villagers and trying to build the ultimate base. 2-D kept falling into caverns while mining. And Russel liked to fish and make things out of redstone.
In general, Noodle and 2-D like to play horror games and sometimes stream it. 2-D gets jumpscared the most.
Noodle has played FNAF and once briefly tried explaining the complicated lore to Murdoc and he was confused. He didn't understand why the ac would randomly shut off.
Russel
He actually managed to get pretty good at taxidermy after a while and has a couple of mounts nicely displayed.
Has unseriously threatened to turn Murdoc into taxidermy whenever he gets on his nerves.
Once Murdoc asked him if he could taxidermy a bat for him and Russel went on a long rant about how unethical bat taxidermy is.
Has a small collection of candles, mainly earthy and woodsy scents.
Sometimes he would take Noodle to the aquarium when she was a kid because she liked seeing all the different fish.
Misses being able to eat food with actual flavor. He tries to replicate American food the best he can with what's available.
He once tried replicating American food for the band that was so close to being authentic that Murdoc offered to smuggle actual American ingredients so Russel could make the real thing there.
When there's even a sliver of sunshine out in the UK he goes outside to soak it up. I think he likes being outside in general.

1997 Pre-Phase 1: Age 31 - fluffy hair, rounder face, eyes open, nose less crooked, minimal bags [under eyes]. Added thoughts - Cocky, confident, arrogant, aggressive about going after what he wants.
2001 Phase 1: Age 35 (My age!) - face thinner, more eye bags, nose fully crooked [after Russel beat him up]. Drug use has picked up.
2004 Phase 2: Age 38 - Eyes more sunk, cheeks hollow after jail [time]. Hair growing out again [I imagined a shorter cut for his prison time would be forced on him]. Added thoughts - Paranoia
2006 Pre-Phase 3: Post Noodle's 'Death'. Age 40 but looks older. Hair lank, eye bags deep. No longer quite human after failed rescue in Hell. Added thoughts - I know its canon that he had the long tongue, green skin etc before this point, so I headcanon that he's on and off communicated with demons but that the trip to actual hell changed him in some way (not for the better). Also his ears do get pointy at this time in canon images.
2009 Mid Phase 3: Middle of Plastic Beach. Age 43. Well and truly in a mental health spiral and [deep into] drug use. Hair overgrown. More in-human characteristics.
2012 Pre-Phase 4: DoYaThing Music Video. Age 46. Very old and weathered looking. Has not recovered [much] from grieving Noodle, Hell, Plastic Beach, drug [and alcohol] abuse, [what he did to 2D] etc etc. Added thoughts - DoYaThing is technically de-canonized but I first read the backstory on the wiki which describes the events in tangent with the fan made storyline in Dawn of the Ogre and I like how that came together there, so that's my headcanon as well.
2015 Phase 4: Saturnz Barz Music Video. Age 49. Additional thoughts at the top this time: It's partly art style changes, but Murdoc looks DRASTICALLY better in this video than he did in DoYaThing. This is also the part in the timeline where the band was separated for a while and Murdoc was in the 'jail' of the music record thing? Well, what if that was just the public version? Headcanon time - the Abby Jail thing was actually rehab. Now [he] looks healthier and in-human aspects like his eyes [the heterochromia] and skin fading [I know he gets greener but whatever, his ears and eyes do change around this time].
2018 Phase 5; Age 52 - With Noodle in Patagonia. Weathered. [Shorter hair again]. With the [double] blows of another prison sentence and the band replacing him. He rejoins the band with the vow to be better.
2020 Phase 6: Age 54 - Doing Ok but starting to struggle. Loneliness. Aging-wise, ears and nose larger with more wrinkles. Added thoughts: His actions during Song Machine canon speak to him slipping back into bad habits, getting hit hard with the feeling of being left out, that 2D and the band are keeping secrets (ie the portals, etc)
2023 Phase 7: Age 57 - Starting to go too deep into spiritualism, and cults... and also mushrooms. Eyes sinking again. Added thoughts - basically I think the cult timeline is him kinda going off the deep end again, only this time instead of making a new noodle and kidnapping 2D and creating the perfect album a la plastic beach, it's a more run of the mill cult pipeline, except Murdoc being Murdoc of course he has to be the cult leader rather than joining and existing one. He's charismatic enough that the band does join him, and that feedback loop is enough to keep him locked into it until the Moonflower stuff.
2025 Phase 8: Age 59 - Is doing much better in India, sleeping and eating much better than pretty much ever before, and is closer to the band [genuinely, and not fabricated by the cult stuff or anything else].
Hiii! For the most outrageous 2doc headcanon I have one that’s kind of sweet but really silly! When they both get drunk, Murdoc likes to try dancing with 2D. They end up getting into a rhythm but it’s very clumsy and they end up knocking anything that isn’t bolted down over in either 2D’s or Murdoc’s room. Picture frames, mugs, lamps, even sometimes larger pieces of furniture. It makes a mess but they both have a good laugh about it and just keep dancing and focusing on each other (until the next morning when one of them realises what happened and gets pissed)
This headcanon is absolutely delectable and sweet,, I love it. It was very fun to doodle :]

He’s incredibly scared of zombies. He tried watching some more tame films for 2D, but ultimately had to tap out. They make him shiver.
Based on the theory they are all dead and meet in a afterlife just to collectively reincarnate in the river, I think its really cool to look at the details and how they could have potentially die, not even physically.
2D is holding a wheel, meaning Stuart died just for 2D to be born instead (Rise of the ogre and pre phase 1 lore)
Russel doesn't seem to have any physical injuries, but its obvious that the death of Del and his friends emotionally affected him just for them to be reincarnated in his mind (also prephase 1 lore)
Murdoc is holding a snake. I still like to think that the snake is connected to Medusa which is often an icon for SA victims. His youth, joy and hope died that day when he became a victim. Instead of moving on he's latching onto his trauma and having a hard time to let it go.
Noodle "died" during el mañana as a child (the beginning of the mv) before she was reborn during plastic beach (when she swims trough the river and crawls out as an adult instead). She had to grow up fast just to survive on her own and forcefully had to become an adult without even realisin.
When she finally reunites with them they all seem happy to see each other and welcome death with open arms, except for Murdoc who looks rather grumpy. They know how to work with their trauma and accepted the change. They welcome the death with open arms. Despite Murdoc being allegedly immortal, he's teriffied of death. He doesn't find it satisfying or welcoming like the others do and yet when he gets a chance for the reincarnation (end of the video) he refuses to jump in.
He's ready to ditch his family twice during one video, first during the snake scene, (where I doubt it's meant to be taken literally, I think it's just him falling for his old habits) and second time on the boat. Theyre not even suprised that he's gone, they just accept it and move on, and that terrifies him even more.
All their deaths aren't exactly literal, rather metaphorical

That video of Alex Hirsch reading S&P notes for Gravity Falls conveys a few things to me:
1) the U.S. entertainment industry (especially animation) is run by older conservative types who make up offensive terms and get really mad about them.
2) the people who run Disney would be the first to fall in line with a fascist regime.
3) most of the media we consume is tailor-made and watered-down to appeal to the tastes of older, deeply religious conservative audiences.
4) conservatism, not the left, is and always has been the biggest voice of censorship in American culture.
J. Michael Straczynski, creator of Babylon 5, was before that a producer and writer for a number of cartoons in the late ‘80s/early ‘90s (The Real Ghostbusters and the original She-Ra, most notably). After a few years of dealing with the censors and their obsession with finding Satanism (or at least looking for Satanism to further political agendas) he wrote an article about the whole corrupt and bullshit system.
And published it in Penthouse, to force those same censors to buy a skin mag. The editor there asked, why Penthouse?

Every time something like this comes up, I remember two stories about making media. The first is about movies, and comes from Quentin “Feet Man” Tarantino.
When he was making Pulp Fiction, he was worried that the MPAA would object to the high level of violence in the film, so he shot a bunch of extra-gory stuff that he didn’t actually want in the film, and added it in before submitting it to the MPAA. Predictibly, they asked him to cut most of it (without even commenting on some of the things that had him worried, like the bits of Marvin’s skull that lodge in Samuel L. Jackson’s hairpiece). The resultant cuts were actually more permissive than he’d expected, so he cut a little more and submitted it, and it got passed with an R.
The second story is about that artist on Morrowind whose name escapes me (I’m not a big ES fan tbh) who figured out that if he made two creature designs, one weird and what he wanted, and one even weirder, he could get Todd Howard to agree to just about anything by showing him the whopper first, then going back and “working” for another few hours on a second, “toned-down” version, and it worked every time.
The reason I bring these up is that the thing that drives censors isn’t some extant physical rubrick of what is and isn’t acceptable, it’s the idea that they can have absolute power over someone else’s creative work. It’s about the social dominance of the interaction.
There is nothing so innocent, so clean, that a censor will not find some fault with it. Because they must find something wrong with it to justify their existence, and because it makes them feel powerful.
