To be clear, Salem has also had a concerted harassment campaign against them which is likely the cause of this. It’s not something new or particularly unsurprising, it’s a documented white supremacist site doing white supremacy in its moderation and allowing white supremacists, transphobes, and transmisogynists (a mostly overlapping triple venn diagram) to utilize their site to harm the most marginalized among us over and over.

How long are you motherfuckers gonna keep letting this happen? As long as they are able to keep doing this arbitrarily to marginalized folks, especially historically Black people, transfemmes, sex workers, etc. At the whims of harassment campaigns, none of us will be safe. We will keep watching our friends disappear, we will keep watching medical, survival, etc. fundraisers die off, we will keep seeing this site become more fucking fascist as more marginalized folks get scattered to further and smaller corners of the internet again. my position is not complicated. trans men make thousands of dollars per year more than trans women. their wages are still criminally low despite this, at 70% of the median worker's, and I said absolutely nothing to challenge or obscure that fact. you could observe that fact for yourself right in my post about the wage gap

despite the fact that trans men's wages are already criminally low, trans women's are even lower, at 60% of the median worker's. it is for this reason that I called for trans men to support and uplift the trans women in their communities so that we can build stronger trans communities with true solidarity

I also called for trans men to understand that their higher wages reflect that they are in a position of relative privilege and power over trans women, and to exercise care and responsibility within that position. though I put the spotlight on trans men, this is not something I think only trans men should be responsible for. anyone with privilege over anyone should treat their privilege as a power they can use to support and protect those they are privileged over, as well as a weapon they must be careful not to wield against those vulnerable to it

these are the views I expressed. if you feel threatened by them, and you feel the need to rewrite them into some extremist position that I never held so that you can safely dismiss the power imbalance, interrogate that. ask yourself why you have to do that

In the late 1950's, NASA had a problem.

They needed to understand what weightlessness did to the human body but every test subject kept getting violently motion sick

NASA needed to figure out FAST during the space race!

So, they went to Gallaudet University. They recruited 11 Deaf people.

Because a number of Deaf people had lost their hearing to spinal meningitis as children which also damaged their vestibular system.

Their inner ears couldn't be overwhelmed. They were immune to motion sickness.

NASA put them in centrifuges. Put them on zero gravity flights. A room for 12 straight days.

One experiment on a ferry in choppy Nova Scotia waters, the researchers got so seasick they had to cancel it. The Gallaudet Eleven? They were playing cards.

Their bodies gave NASA the data and research it needed to send humans into space.

No Gallaudet Eleven? No Mercury. No Apollo. No Artemis II.

They stood on the shoulders of 11 Deaf people most people have never heard of.

Tumblr Staff, after making a half hearted apology for mass banning trans women, has just today mass banned trans women a second time

I don't have exact numbers yet, but at least twenty users were terminated at the same exact time, recieving an "internally generated report" refusing to declare reason for the ban. I quote, "Upon review of your account we have determined that it does not align with our terms of service". No reason given, this was clearly a deliberate action by staff as they themselves claim

Tumblr staff is currently mass banning trans women again. Make them know this is unnaceptable

After analysis and study and contacting affected people i can confidently state the following

All people who recieved tumblr premium were affected by the initial mass ban. As this would be near impossible to collate for a normal user (and who would even pay for this?), i can only conclude the following

Tumblr staff has given a month of tumblr premium to all those affected by the banwave

However, on the same day, and according to the evidence obtained,

Tumblr staff used the same means they used in march, the exact same means they apologized about using, terminating all followers of evilprincess-v

All members affected were followers of the same account, and they all recieved a message of termination without reason, and declaring itself internally generated.

Mere days after tumblr apologized, they did the exact same thing again. Do not let this slide
