                 that’s not answering my question, eddie is eddie yes but who exactly is eddie? is eddie a person that real or in your mind? [he chuckled.] my name is uta, you are my son if that wasn’t already obvious. i’m sure we’ll be very happy together, as a family. we’re going to my apartment, or would you feel more comfortable going to yours.

                   i don’t believe they mentioned if you had one or not.

                                 [this kid was going to take awhile to get to talk. probably like kaneki when they first met, then again he never really cared for kaneki.]

The seemingly mocking comment makes Jieun only stare in partial astonishment. Muttering, he only responds with, "Eddie's real but... I don't know where he is." Eyes look down at his hands in defeat considering how usually he feels lost without him. Then he looks up, blinking at the man as he observes his features with silence as he continues to speak.

He nods in response, "Uta... Okay." His lips turning into a small smile at the man that's supposedly his new father. It's still awfully weird, just waking up one day, and having a father- but other than that he doesn't really know what to do, honestly. Though... Family does sound nice.

"Hm... I live with you, right? That's what they said..." They, as in, referring to whoever was talking to him as soon as he got here, "This place is... Weird, but it's not bad. Do you have any apples?" He's pretty new to this place... Food is definitely on his mind.

In the kitchen of the new apartment, Jieun raided the area— mostly to find the apples. Although, even though the white rabbit is successful, he isn’t really skilled at peeling the apple himself, without Eddie he has no one to peel it for him! Well, dang. This is a problem. He’ll just have to get over this hurdle somehow… Should he really try to peel it himself? The thought is extremely tempting, especially if he can get a delicious, sweet apple in the end.

Although, a constant tapping against the floor made the boy’s ears twitch. The ruby eyes look down only to see this tiny, orange bird pitter patter across the floor. Did this household have more than one pet? Jieun kneels down with his newly acquired apple in hand, and sets it out to the exotic looking bird. It perks up at the shiny red fruit, and Jieun doesn’t really say much. He only observes the creature as it blinks at the fruit, and grinds its beak.

“Do you eat apples too…?” He murmurs softly, the thought that this bird could be someone’s, or wild doesn’t even occur to him. Oops… Although, the boy does turn his head towards the sound of approaching footsteps.

"Yes...?"

may i ask who’s eddie?

[he “didn’t mean to” sneak up on the lad but he did leave himself so vulnerable and in the open that he just had to walk up to him and say something. though, nevertheless uta did receive word that the boy would be arriving soon. he received a letter and it gave him minor details that could’ve been anyone really, albino male. that’s all he was told about his son’s description, so really it’s just a guess and maybe he’s right.]

do you have a name? you’re just standing here all alone, c’mon. we’ll find you some shelter, hm?

Oh..! Talking to himself? Maybe that's the case, but he really did miss him. Eyes drift up to look at the other, then down at his hands.

"Eddie is Eddie..." He replies in a small voice. 

He's asking all these questions! He called Jieun his son, too. This must be 'dad'. Uta, right? Since the second name seems more fitting of a mom, anyway.

"My name... Jieun." At least, it's one that was given to him. He nods once, and looks back up to Uta when he talks about 'shelter', where could they be going- he wonders, "Yes. It's cold... Where do we go?"

How very sudden all of this is! Actually, he didn't know how to react to such a predicament. A part of Jieun became ... Worried? Nervous, perhaps. Maybe even lonely. Being told he has parents... A spouse- a new home too! It's kind of weird. A part of him isn't really sure what to say to his new parents.

Fingers pressed together, his digits tapping against each other every so often; he looks down at his hands as he keeps fidgeting in silence. Then a sigh leaves his lips.

"I miss... Eddie..." Is the first thing sentence that comes to mind to mutter.
