This is some fan fic that I wrote a while back. It is biased off of the 2012 Nickelodeon TMNT. Is the cat in this story a mutant? Or something else?
Alright. Just have to post some fan fic I made a while back.

Why write?
I found this web sight. It gives tips on writing. One of the articles deals with why people write. These are the questions posed and my answers. https://paulsfantasywritings.com/
1. If these two reasons spark to write a novel, and what was it?
I was abused when I was younger. This sparked a need for escape. Imagination was the escape. As I got older it was easy when these images rolled around my head for days to write them down. It was a way to stop thinking about them. I guess as I accumulated more short stories I found a theme. The same characters started to come up. From there it was a curiosity.
2. If anyone has ever told you that you could (or could not) write a novel, and how you reacted to it?
I don't know that anyone said I could or could not write a novel. It became a curiosity. Could I actually write a whole book?
My mother did encourage me once she read the first book I put together. She is the reason I am still at writing and was the push I needed to put it out there.
I will say the biggest doubt that I could actually write, any kind of story, came from my resource room teacher (yes I was held back in reading/writing and math). I remember that she had been teaching me to spell the word, because. Lots of vowels and few consonants. It was a very hard word for me to learn. Yes, I'm old enough to remember writing with paper and pencil, no spell-check. Archaic I know.
Anyway, I remember her telling my mother that I would never learn to spell. I would probably have to carry around a dictionary my whole life to be able to spell correctly. I don't remember what my mother told the teacher, but I remember when we left, she told me that I could do whatever I wanted.
My family has several members with learning difficulties and I have always been thankful for that. It has lead to the general belief; you can do whatever you want even if the experts say you can't. You just have to figure out how it works for you, and want too.
So, I learned the more I wrote and used a word the more likely I was to remember how to spell it. I lot of the stories I wrote at that time became inundated with the word because. I now know how to spell, because.... even without spell check. I'm just a little rebellious that way.
Another day another blog post.

Ah.... Now what?
What is in your head right now?
You were in class, drawing pentagrams in boredom and to keep yourself calm as the most popular girl was making fun of you. Suddenly, a gorgeous 6'5 guy in all black suit with red eyes kicked the door open, screaming “ENOUGH!!!” in frustration.
“You!” he says pointing to the girl. “In your seat! I will expect a 50-page essy on the anti-bullying laws in this school and why they are important.... due.... tomorrow. I think.” He smiles wickedly.
Wearing a shocked expression on her face the girl settles into her seat. “Would anyone else care to do an essay.” The classroom is silent as a grave.
“Very well. I am Hades your substitute teacher for.... well, we will just say some time.”
There is whispering amongst the students, and Hades smiles at you and points at your paper while the other kids are distracted.
You look down at your paper, ‘What have I done?’ you think in horror.
Gnak’urkah.... Truth be known
Ss’tar
The Ball
At the heart of every galaxy worthy of note is a place where beings gather. They go by different names, but the one that we are interested in is called Galactic Council by its residents. Interestingly, this Galactic Council is not exactly at the heart of its galaxy but more to one side of it. The beings that reside at and around this hub, consider themselves enlightened, and thoughtful. At least for the most part. There are a few, even on this side of the galaxy that need…. Work.
On the other side of their galaxy lay the underdeveloped worlds. Or simply the Unders. Earth lies in this region of space, but this story is not about that beautiful planet. Rather it is about another race of beings. Ones with no home world.
Earthlings have been known describe them as cat people. In truth the Ss’tars are just one race among several at Galactic Council, that would fit this description. They closely resemble the enlightened Mearthians. Many have laid claim that they have the same ancestors.
The Ss’tars are shunned at Galactic Council as outsiders. They come from the Unders, and are rough, fighting rather than using their words. The Ss’tars for their part have long ignored the Galactic Council. They have stuck to the Unders where they are accepted and thrive.
This recently changed when a small group, a ring or family if you would like, took up residency at Galactic Council. This ring in particular was not well received for it contained a particularly fierce warrior and strong mind talker.
If the truth was told there are those at Galactic Council who are afraid of this specific mind talker. The Talics first among them. The Talics are tall grey skinned beings with big heads and eyes. They are also mind talkers, but are almost revered by others at Galactic Council for their wisdom.
The Mearthians are hesident, or at least most of them, about the ring. They fear that their minds will be controlled by her. Taking away their ability to make their own choices and turning them into her puppets.

She is the model for my book cover. She is a DSH and an old lady at 17 or 18 yrs. She was a pregnant teenager without a home when I first met her. How times have changed.
