So important
Resistance can take many forms - from education to litigation, from within a small community to throughout the globe. Though I have omitted highly important figures like Yuri Kochiyama and Fred Korematsu, I wanted to spotlight lesser-known individuals who resisted injustice in a variety of ways. They demonstrate that we too can act against oppression and inequality, however we are able.

Many thanks to The Densho Project for the research materials
I’ve put a printed zine version of these drawings and stories on my Storenvy for preorder, all profits from sales of the zine will be donated to the ACLU. Zines will be shipped out in early March.
Just Like the First Time.
Way to misrepresent the debate.
Most pro life people tend to be women, and the men within those movements wouldn’t be there if it had no women. Its not male vs female its a complex philosophical question about when does life begin.
Where as Viagra, is a benefit to men and straight women. I wonder why there isn’t a female version.
Try to imagine a world where all women get is a pill that gets them in the mood, and men got birth control. What kind of world would that be?
And why might that world exist?
I don’t think I’m misrepresenting the debate.
This meme makes the (sarcastic) point that women’s bodies and reproductive choices are always scrutinized and regulated by people who claim to have a superior sense of morality than the woman herself.
The idea that anything to do with a woman’s reproductive choices is up for debate and regulation every day, (they’re even part of presidential campaign talking points), is not strange, humorous, or ridiculous.
But, turn that table, place restrictions on a man’s reproductive choices… Tell him every sperm could be a baby (sneering the Catholic Church use to do) so masturbation is evil. Condoms aren’t allowed. If you don’t want to produce a baby keep your knees together and you better not murder potential babies by spilling your seed…
Tell him his erectile dysfunction is God’s will (just like the baby conceived by rape) and shouldn’t be tampered with to benefit the life of the person dealing with it…
People find it laughable when you apply it to a man.
Why?
Why do men get autonomy over their own bodies but mine is government regulated and debated in public forums?

Donald Trump Signs Anti-Abortion Executive Order Surrounded By Men

Trump’s Muslim Ban Realized
Today on 1/27/17 Trump closed America’s doors to refugees, indefinitely, banned immigrants from several countries, suspended the Visa program, and effectively left untold numbers of people stranded–including those with Green Cards and especially those with no where else to turn who had already been approved to come here.
It is not a ban purely on Muslims, just on specific (majority Muslim) countries, so there’s a chance it could hold up in court.
He signed this executive order on Holocaust Remembrance Day. Even if he didn’t understand the significance of that, I have no doubt Bannon and the other nazis on his staff did.
This is monstrous.

Refugees unlawfully detained in airports after Trump’s immigration executive order
On Friday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order suspending the nation’s refugee settlement program and barring immigrants from countries with “would-be terrorists,” namely Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen.
The executive order went into immediate effect, meaning refugees on planes to the United States landed in a nation newly hostile to their presence.
Though they were given permission to settle here by the U.S. State Department, after a long, complex vetting process, they are now being detained in U.S. airports, waiting for news of their fate. Read more.
It’s started. Publicize this. Do not be complacent. Do not say “Well, they’re only…”
Pay no attention to the Putin behind the curtain.
Oh. My. God. That is perfect.
Women are considered fragile but I’ve never seen anything as easily wounded as a man’s ego.
