"No he’s not worth remembering, wasted the better part of my life with him though I suppose he did give me one thing I’m proud of. But yes More or less starting over." She nodded taking her half of the sandwich as well glad that her daughter was still with her parents she wasn’t quite ready to explain that one to Fire though she probably should give him at least a heads up, that way he doesn’t think that he can come drag her out of the house whenever he wants. "How are you with kids?" She hummed before stealing a sip from his milkshake. "Guitars fun though no? Something to be proud of after all I can’t play an instrument."

"Ah guess..." He shrugged and bit down on a fry, staring at the table as he thought of her first question. Was he good with kids? How the hell would he know he was never really around them, well, aside from his sister but that was different, wasn't it? "Kids...ah dunno." He shrugged again and glanced back up at the brunette. "Ah've never really been 'round them too much ta know. Why?"

If it wasn’t for the fact that he was in class and she knew it she would have been offended by the letter response. Shaking her head she finished her grading entering the grades into the gradebook and filed them away before walking down to the little cafe ordering an iced coffee and waiting for her little flameo, right on cue she got the text laughing softly to herself. 

To: Flameo From: Leah Text: I'm inside see you in a few

She waved him over as he entered. “Did you want anything to drink before we get started?” She asked pretending to be bored before looking over at the clock,” We have about ten or so minutes before we have to leave.”

Fire beamed as he moseyed his way over to his brunette friend. His face fell slightly as she talked about leaving and getting started, maybe she did forget it was his birthday after all. "Uhh...yeah." He nodded, going and buying himself a cup of coffee before wondering back over. "Sooo...uhh...what did you really all have planned today?" He almost sounded a bit nervous. He didn't really want to call Leaf out but if she really forgot he might have to. "I mean like... Are we doing anything else than just grading papers?"

Leaf smiled as Fires texted back, she could be a brat at times if she really wanted to be. Rolling her eyes at his reply she quickly let her fingers glide over the touch screen. 

To: Flameo From: Leah Text: Well I had a bunch of grading to do tonight but I was thinking we haven't done anything fun in a while. Did you want to help me out a bit then head down to the amusement part?

Yeah Right as if she’d really make him grade papers on his birthday. 

Text: I was thinking we could meet at the coffee shop then head to my house after that.

Still playing it off as if she didn’t remember what the day was way to go Leaf.

She wouldn't really make him grade papers, would she? She had to have remembered, right? Well, they had been away for a few years. Maybe she forgot. However he wasn't going to make those kinds of accusations over a text message. No if she legitimately forgot he'd tell it to her in person. He have only a quick response of "K" as he didn't want to get caught by their teacher. The last ten minuets of class being the longest in his life. 

Finally after all that waiting he was the first one up and out the door, damn near running down to the coffee shop.

"Oh a little of this a little of that, college was fairly stressful with a family and all." shit she let that one slip didn’t she? Her eyes shifted a bit as she glanced down at the table. "I uhh… Suppose I never did tell you I was married for a bit huh?" She asked it wasn’t like the marriage had lasted all that long but still that was something you were supposed to tell your best friend. "He was an asshole lets just leave it at that, very controlling I didn’t get to talk to anyone." She sighed before looking up and offering him a smile. "Anyway that’s the past lets just focus on the present okay?"

Fire frowned a bit as Leaf spilled what had happened. A part of him began boiling up in rage on the inside. What kind of jackass would so something like that. He concealed that anger with a smile. "Yeah, he ain't worth rememberin'." Eventually Fire took his hat off, running his fingers through his hair and taking his half of the sandwich when it arrived. "...Yeah ah didn' really do much after ya left. Kinda gave up the whole training gig. bummed around a few years, taught myself guitar, ah don' know why ah decided to go t' school after all those years but ah did." He shrugged, munching on a fry. They was no way he'd tell her about his bout of depression he dealt with after she and Red left. "So, whatcha hopein' t' accomplish here? Jus' kinda startin' over?"

Happy 22nd Birthday Kiddo {Leaf and Fire}

Leaf sucked at thinking up things to do but today was her best friends birthday and she wanted to make it special, after all you were only twenty-two once right? Looking over the things they could do she knew one of which had to be dinner, and the steak buffet seemed like the perfect place to go. She had everything planed, a day at the theme park, dinner, then back to her house for desert, a cake from Daisy’s shop, and presents, a new baseball cap, a CD from his favorite band, and a new acoustic guitar. 

Once she had everything planned, and made sure the babysitter would stay for a bit longer today, she texted the birthday boy acting like she’d forgotten that it was his birthday. 

To: Flameo From: Leah Text: Hey Flameo anything planned today? if not want to hang out after class?

Fire was an anxious ball of energy through his classes. He hardly wanted to sit around in some boring stuffy classroom. No what he wanted to do was go out and party. It was his birthday, why wouldn't he want to go out and have a good time. But no, he was stuck in class sitting through a stupid lecture, booooring. A light groan left Fire's lips as he glanced back at the clock, realizing there was still fifteen minuets of this crap left. His head plopped on the desk in front of him, eyes closed as it it would make time move faster.

There was a moment of relief when he finally felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He peeked down at his phone and smiled happily when he noticed it was from Leaf. His face lit up like the morning sun as he read over the text. Seriously if he was a dog his tail would be wagging.

Leaf wandered into the building shaking her head a bit. “I wasn’t really all that hungry so if you want to split a buger and a basket of fries that would be fine.” The mike shake didn’t sound half bad either if she was being honest, a small yawn slipped past her lips as she took a seat across from him looking over the menu. “Are you paying for the meal or did you want me to cover it tonight Fire?” She hummed setting it beside her content with an order.

"Ah'll pay." He nodded, he had managed to make a little money at least. Besides, i'd be completely rude of him to make her pay after forcefully draging her out. Eventually they ordered and sat around, waiting for their food. "Umm, So, Ah haven' seen ya in like...years. Whatcha been up to all this time? Ah've tried E-mailin' ya 'n whatnot but ah hardly got a response. Didja change yer e-mail 'r somethin'?"

Just a friendly dinner date

"Right right journalism." She nodded remembering before taking her seat across from him. Her cheeks colored when he said he’d rather dance with her. "I’m sure that could be arranged after dinner so long as your current dance partner wouldn’t be jealous of you practicing with me, might save him a few bruised toes." The young professor teased before taking a sip of her wine and starting in on her food. 

"So what are you learning in dance anyway? Waltz? Foxtrot?" Hopefully it was at least something she knew, ballroom dance was kinda a hobby of hers. Modern dance or ballet was a bit harder, she knew some steps but not enough to be confidant enough to help him with anything. "Maybe later if you want you can help me grade some tests I gave out in photography on how the camera works and what its parts are, I have a key made up just haven’t had much time to do anything."

"Wait, you teachin' me how ta dance?" He gave Leaf a bit of a bewildered look as his face turned scarlet. Too bad he left his hat at Green's house, wanting to actually look nice rather than look like some kid who just got home from school. Now he couldn't hide the obvious embarrassment. "Ah...yeah, i's th' walts..." He mumbled, stuffing a forkful of food into his mouth, trying to think of something else. 

"Hmm, yeah sure ah could do that. Shouldn' be to hard." He finally spoke up again, nodding slightly. "Umm, th' food's great." He smiled, pouring himself some wine as well, desperately trying to find a conversation for them to sit on.

Ehh? I didn’t actually think you would take me seriously, I mean sure we didn’t always get along but you’re my little Fire fly and I love you. [She suddenly felt bad for saying what she had]  I’ve just grown up Fire. We all do, its part of getting older.

"Yeah ah know we get older but...ah jus' haven' seen ya in ferever. Ya actually have boobs now 'n such. It was jus' a bit jarrin'. Yer mah sis so ah guess ah jus' always thought ya'd be mah lil' sis. All cute and innocent." Please, you were more innocent than her for quite a while. And with that Fire walked up, giving her a hug. "Love ya too kitkat."

Running Around (Aerge and Fire)

"Hey man, he may look cute but Dewy’s a devious little one." He smiled to the Raichu as it began to inspect him, laughing along with the brunette. The electric rat was a chubby one that’s for sure, looking very similar to Dewy.

"Fire huh, what a cool name..well..actually hot if you wanna look at it in a literal term." He laughed more, shaking his head "Yea it can be a real work out with this little one I can tell you that." The Dedenne simply squeaked, nuzzling into Aerge like he didn’t do anything wrong. "Yea I’m new, been traveling around this region for quite some time."

"Aren't they all?" Fire peered back down at the Raichu beside him, speaking of devious creatures.

He gave a short laugh at the joke before thinking about traveling. He hadn't traveled like that in a while. Well, that was mainly because he sucked at battling and the last time he went on a journey it hurt his life more than helped it but he still admired people who could travel around without worry. "So, why'd ya decide ta go t' school? Soun's like ya have a pretty good life already."

Frick his suit for the host club came in today. ".....Someone drive me down to the tailor...."

Running Around (Aerge and Fire)

"Pikachu oh right that pokémon, I think I’ve seen those in Kalos before.." He thought back to the time where he ended up in Santalune Forest, running into a horde of Pikachu’s. "Oh alright gotcha!"

The smaller rodent squeaked as it was picked up by the bigger rodent, it looked curiously at it, noticing similar features to itself. it tilted it’s head, looking right into the other’s eyes.

Aerge finally caught up withe everyone else, taking a interested look at the bigger rodent. “Huh well there’s Raichu but wher-” As he was about to call out to him, the Dedenne scurried out of the Kanto pokémon’s paws, climbing onto Aerge’s jacket. “Ahh there you are, you little rascal.” He chuckled a bit, scratching his ears, in return Dewy squeaked happily. “Thanks for the help man, oh I didn’t introduce myself earlier whoops, my name’s Aerge, pleasure to meet you.”

"Wow, that's a real tiny pokemon." The brunet chuckled lightly. "Heh, he's kinda cute." And with that Tobias scampered up to the other trainer, inspecting him curiously before darting back to Fires side.

"Names Fire." the brunette nodded, scratching at his pokemons head. "Nice ta meetcha too. It was no problem. Ah know this big guy likes ta run off too sometimes. Ah know how hard they can be ta catch up to." His eyes glanced down to a now sheepish looking Raichu as the pokemon squeaked lightly, thin tail whipping behind it. "I take it ya haven't been here very long. Ah haven' seen ya 'round campus."
