“ That’s what you say now-” Kriemhild responded, “-things will happen and we will have disagreements. But Aggie, you are by far one of my closest friends. I won’t give up on you so easily.” She extended her hand out to Agatha. “ I do not want you to be alone, Aggie.”
@burningxstakes
“ One night,” Kriemhild repeated in agreement. The comment about romance hadn’t gone unnoticed, she just didn’t want to say anything she felt might dissuade Agatha from coming with her. “ In that case-I’m sure you will enjoy at least some of your time at my home.” The forest witch added for positivity, “ If there’s anything you’d like to take with you-you should gather it now, I need to make a little portal outside.”
Kriemhild stepped away from Agatha and made for the front door. “ Unless I’m wrong-this will be your first time staying in Germany!” She commented cheerfully, just for herself this time.
There was no doubt that Agatha would enjoy the peace and quiet. She was certain that Kriemhild’s home was beautiful, still the old witch had her reservations. There was a fear that was bubbling deep in her stomach, but she wouldn’t admit it. The more resistant she seemed, the better.
“And I’m sure you’re way more optimistic than I am.” She stood rooted to her place and waved her hand gently. It was a gentle movement through the air around her and before long, an overnight bag was summoned, floating loyally beside her. She’d pack light, she could always send for more if she decided to stay. But, she didn’t want a long term commitment.
“You would be correct.” She said, stepping forward to stand nearer to Kriemhild. “Never managed to visit.”

"Agatha!" Daisy squeaked the woman's name out, followed by a giggle she could not contain. She smiled for a moment, enjoying the close proximity of the woman before she shook her head.
"Wanda and Vis will be here for dinner any minute."
Agatha hummed against Daisy’s skin, taking a moment to allow the words sink in. Her arms are light, but secure against the woman as she peppered a few more kisses before leaning back to get a look at her.
“So?” A smile pulled on her lips. “You act like they’ve never seen affection before.”
burningxstakes:
Normally, Agatha wanted to be the only supernatural being. She was drawn to the power and she siphoned it to be hers. But, Beta was different. She determined he would always be different. She would always hold some affection for him, mainly because he looked like her son. A son she didn’t do right by and now he was gone. Banished, because he had turned into his own demise. Agatha didn’t know where he was, and she was certain that he would no longer want anything to do with her.
In a twisted way, Beta was a second chance for Agatha. There wasn’t a day that didn’t go by where she didn’t think of her son, Nicholas, but she would be damned if she let anything happen to Beta.
“A shame indeed.” Love was dangerous, it caused pain. It made people weak. It was harrowing to know that she would willingly put others first before herself.
Her jaw set tightly as her brows furrow. “I see meaning.” She answered, even if she was certain that he didn’t really want her to. Agatha had been alone for so long. Loveless, unhappy. Here before her sat a hope that there was still some good left in her. She would always go to him for help, because she knew he would always give it. Her intuition told her that he, too, while deep down, cared for her as well. “I see a son…”
There was something different about Agatha, she was not quite an ally as much as she was a teacher to him in some strange way. Perhaps he was tamed by the newfound discovery that he was not the only one of his kind, at least in terms of being a supernatural being. How strange it was that things changed. At her words, his brows furrowed and he sat back slightly. “Hmph.” His usual response. There should not have been any care, no second thoughts, they should be enemies.
Then, his eyes flickered over to her, a bewildered light in slightly glowing hazel eyes. Of all the answers he could have recieved, this was not one of them. Never in a thousand moons would he have considered such a unique response. They were ancient beings after all, she harbored a life from before, as did he. But he did not remember much of his old life. He remained silent, a hand taking hold of his sleeve.
“I do not see why,” Beta mused out loud. What was he supposed to say? It was an almost harrowing response. He knew what it was like to care for someone like that, it had only brought pain to him. For a moment he remembered Lydia, not quite his daughter nor anyone from before, but he knew the feeling. It was not one he was particularly fond of. It was purely instinctive for him.
He fell quiet, staring over at the other with silent question in his eyes.
He couldn’t see why, well that didn’t come as much as a surprise to her. They were a couple of outcasts that had an issue with showing even an ounce of compassion to one another. But, Agatha was done with that. With everything she had done and seen. All she had lost, she wouldn’t dare allow another day to go by without Beta knowing. Her inability to express any type of emotion is what had cost her. Her first son– had she been more open, would it all have turned out differently?
“Do not act so mystified.” Agatha said, noting his eyes. “I had a son.” She revealed. “God knows where he is.” She had thought she had recovered from the loss, but she had been known to be wrong before. “Had I been kinder, perhaps he would be in this very room.” This place only felt like a home when Beta was near. Women came and went. Hell, the occasional man when she was bored. But, this house was empty. She simply could not get a sense of companionship or family out of them. And she had made multiple attempts to start over. To allow someone in her life whether that be romantic or not. The amount of maternal love she felt toward the behemoth was… terrifying.
“Had I been more understanding, but everything I ever stood for, he turned and blew it up in my face.” She crossed her arms. “Could you believe that I was a good person? That I cared for others, that I ran an entire community?” She scoffed. “But, put yourself in a position of power, and they will tear the throne right out from under you."
She shook her head. “In my blindness, I lost everything. And more importantly, I lost my son.” He was alive, of course, but the image she had long had of him was dead. “But, you… you accept my company as I am.” She glanced away from him. “You make me feel like I have something to lose again.”

Agatha listened intently to the other. Charlie was vague, the witch admired that. It left an air of mystery, and it was wise to keep some things close to your chest. The world was foul, cruel, if people ended up with your weaknesses and secrets in the palms of their hands, it wouldn’t bode well. Agatha had learned that the hard way.
“You sound a lot like me, it seems.” Agatha had been reckless and uniformed in her youth. Causing mayhem with accidental magic, but she had refined her skills over the centuries. “I’ve learned that the world will always paint a picture of who they think you are. It doesn’t matter how much you’ve learned or changed.” She said, guiding Charlie into her home. “I can make you tea of any kind, anything strike your fancy?”
“ Whatever anyone has to think about me-anyone besides you, Miss Harkness...” Charlie said, her eyes growing the moment she stepped into the older witch’s home. “ I won’t care. I won’t care unless it’s you who’s got something to say. And, would you happen to have hibiscus tea?” Charlie’s career wasn’t nearly as long as Agatha’s, but she was still tired; too many people putting some sort of bounty on the head of a woman who barely knew anything about her own abilities back then, it all added up.
The statement caused a small smile to pull at the corner of Agatha’s lips. It was dangerous to have someone to look up to, it only gave a chance of disappointment. Agatha had also learned that in her many years of life– most were not as they seemed. But, if this young woman wanted to cause Agatha’s already growing ego to leap, than by all means, the old witch would not stop her. “Hibiscus tea it is.” Agatha walked with a flourish as she rooted through a small, wooden cabinet above the firewood stove.
She waved her hand and the stove ignited as she pulled down a wooden box of loose leaf hibiscus. She poured water into her old dutch kettle and waited for it to boil. “So, Charlie– when did you realize you were different? And have you come to me to learn?”
burningxstakes:
“Hospital.” Agatha said through gritted teeth. She was trying not to let her temper get the best of her; Wanda was only trying to help. “Emily wants the hospital.” She gripped at the armrest of her seat and stared out the window so that she could try to gauge by the second when they would arrive. “I’m freaked out because I CARE.” Obviously Wanda knew that. “What if something goes wrong?”
“Then we’ll deal with it. But there is no reason for anything to go wrong”, Wanda said - probably for the 200th time in the last nine and a half months - because Emily’s pregnancy had gone very smooth for her age. Granted, she wasn’t 25 anymore, but she had the benefits of having two witches in the family, so their options didn’t end with conventional medicine. Nonetheless Wanda was very sure that all was going to be just fine. If she had learned one thing through the course of four children, it was that the body knew what it was doing normally. Pulling into Agatha’s driveway, she parked the car in front of the house and got out.
Agatha was hearing Wanda’s words, but they weren’t really sticking right now. The old witch was certain that she wouldn't be able to be comforted until this whole thing was over. Of course there wasn’t a reason for anything to go wrong, but Agatha was from a different time. In her time, childbirth was horrifying. But, this was what Emily wanted. It was what she wanted– but, she hadn’t been opposed to adoption again. Agatha fumbled with her seatbelt the moment they were on her street and as soon as Wanda pulled into the driveway, Agatha’s door was swinging open so that she could slide out and rush to the house. “Stay there!” She called over her shoulder. “I’ll help her out!”
She was gone in a flash, and returned very quickly with Emily and her brother-in-law, both taking an arm to help the very pregnant woman to the car. Darren opted to driving himself, so that he could bring the overnight bag and anything else they would need. And he would watch Abigail. The man was a Saint.
“I’m sorry–” Emily said once Agatha had helped her into the back seat and crawled in to sit next to her. “I told Agatha that she was just as capable to drive me and we would give you a call once we got to the hospital.”

“ That’s what you say now-” Kriemhild responded, “-things will happen and we will have disagreements. But Aggie, you are by far one of my closest friends. I won’t give up on you so easily.” She extended her hand out to Agatha. “ I do not want you to be alone, Aggie.”
@burningxstakes
“ Come with me-” the forest witch blurted out, “-come and stay with me at my home. You can for as long as you like. It’s peaceful there, so-so you won’t feel smothered by the common ones. We’ll get to chat and do whatever will make you feel better, and you’ll see…” You’ll see you’re not really alone.
Kriemhild took a step closer to Agatha, giving her a pleasant smile instead of looking so worried. “ No bad can come from it, Agatha-what do you say?” She asked, putting so much into the offer because she really did want the other witch to come back to her home. Kriemhild knew the world had made Agatha suffer in ways she did not deserve, and she would be the one to help Agatha be able to feel happiness again.
Agatha’s brows rose upward at Kriemhild’s suggestion. Stay with her? The older witch was so used to hopping from place to place on her own. How would she fare, sharing the space with someone else? Agatha could be sour company at times– however, she did make good tea; at least she thought so. “Stuck with you in the middle of the forest? How romantic.” Her tone is unamused, but there’s a faint glint in her eyes.
A hand ran through her dark, wild mane as she chewed on the inside of her cheek. She held a finger up, her gaze never leaving Kriemhild’s. “I will stay for one night. But, I’ll make no promises I’ll stay any longer than that.”
