When I'm homesick, I think of the coffee buns that they sold in that little shop near my house when I was a kid. I hope that shop stays open so I can go back and eat their coffee buns again.

But they’re not the same.

Will doesn’t come from the mouth —

it comes from the gut. It growls.

Greed just salivates. It spills. It doesn’t have weight.

Will is a decision.

A quiet understanding between me and the world: we exist alongside each other.

It doesn’t consume and corrode at the same time.

It shapes. It gives form. It makes existence possible.

Without it, nothing new comes into being.
