I was trying to work out who could get to the quarter finals in rugby’s European Champions Cup this weekend, so I drew a picture. With Excel.
Bridget Riley remixes Georges Seurat
All these paintings were on display at the Courtauld Gallery in London this weekend, the first four as part of the Bridget Riley: Learning from Seurat exhibition. Unfortunately, as ever, I left visiting till the last weekend, so it’s closed now; however, the Courtauld’s still well worth a visit for its Impressionist and Post-Impressionist focused collection.

Wear your sunglasses at night in London
The big city of London is due for some bright lights as it begins its first ever festival of light. Lumiere London will illuminate 30 different locations or the weekend, including a goldfish in a phonebooth, a 3-D elephant’s butt, and the Patrice Warrener’s Light of the Spirit pictured here. See more shots of this weekend’s festivities.
And here are some prettier photos than mine...
A handful of photos from Lumiere London tonight. Also featured flying fish, Julian Opie and lots of people. There’s still time to see it for yourself - the last night’s tomorrow, Sunday 17th January, from 18:30 to 22:30.
