Whenever Hagrid finally decides to retire as Care of Magical Creatures professor you can bet your last knut that Charlie Weasley flies back to England the following week excitedly waving his resume and recommendation letters from no less than two Scamanders and the Minister of Magic, Hermione Granger.
Iâm pretty sure he would also have recommendation letters from Rubeus Hagrid, the retiring professor, Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived and a very confusing one from Puddlemere United player, Oliver Wood, saying that he was one of the best Seekers he had ever seen.
Not to mention the fact that he flies back to England not on a broomstick or any other normal form of transportation, but landing on the Hogwarts grounds on the back of the largest dragon anyone has ever seen.
Reblogging again for that last addition.Â
Charlie: *glides in on a dragon*Â HELLO HIRE ME
Everyone: What the fuck
Ron: (in the background, mortified) this is normal
The dragon is Norbert
*does a tarot reading with a Cards Against Humanity deck*
And your future holdsâŚBees?
men are allowed to be so mediocre itâs insulting on the deepest level
Would you unfollow me if I reblogged this every single day? That is how often I think it.
Mediocre men get to make mediocre movies and write mediocre books about other mediocre men, but if a woman steps outside a door in a sweater and some plain jeans, she âlet her self goâ, âisnt even trying anymore!â
if a man creates something mediocre itâs just âa bad bookâ or âa bad movieâ.. if a man is a bad leader heâs just, well, âa bad leaderâ
if a woman creates something mediocre, or if a womanâs a bad leader it becomes about how âall women are bad at _____,â or about how âno woman is a natural leaderâ
and thatâs a really disheartening fact to all women. men are always allowed to be a work in progress. women always have to be the flawless finished product.

Iâm never quite cool, if you know what I mean. Iâm basically the worst, best superhero.

People who guested on Sesame Street or The Muppet Show often mentioned this phenomenon in interviews.Â
Iâm reminded of a possibly apocryphal story where a talk show was doing a Kermit the Frog guest spot, and the sound technicians couldnât figure out why the audio pickup was so terrible - until they realised that theyâd unthinkingly attached the wireless mic to the puppet rather than the voice actor.
me: humanity is awful i canât believe this there is no goodness or love
me: life is ok actually and i have a reason to live
If youâre an adult, do the stuff you couldnât as a kid.
Like, me and my sister went to a museum, and they had an extra exhibit of butterflies. But it cost ÂŁ3. So we sighed, walked past, then stopped. We each had ÂŁ3. We could see the butterflies. And we did it was great. We followed it up with an ice-cream as well because Mum and Dad werenât there to say no.
I was driving back from a work trip with 2 other people in their early 20s, and we drove past a MacDonalds. One of the others went âAww man, Iâd love a McFlurry.â And the guy driving pulled in to the drive through. It was wild. But it was great.
I went to a park over the weekend and I was thinking âMan, Iâd love to hire one of those bikes and cycle round the park.â It took me a few minutes to go âWait, I can hire one of those bikes!â
I guess what Iâm saying is, those impulsive things you wanted to do as a kid - see the dinosaur exhibit, play in the fountains with the other kids, lie in the shade for 2 hours - you can do when youâre an adult. You have to deal with a whole lot of other bull, but at least you can indulge your inner 8 year-old.
I actually think this was pretty responsible. Rather than banning it outright, which would result in kids wanting to rebel even more, she offers it in her home where she can control the amount people drink. Good on ya, Mrs George. Youâre a cool mom.
She also offered her daughter a condom when she was hooking up with a guy instead of freaking out and kicking the guy out of the house.
Itâs kinda funny how she is simultaneously an out-there parent, yet not a bad one. She might actually understand that her daughter is a anger-ridden teenager who canât be easily controlled and restricted, so instead of telling her what she canât do, she tries to guide her to a safer decision. Iâm not saying Iâm 100% cool with how she executes it, but hey, not a bad parent when you think about it.Â
next up on tumblr: psychoanalysing the mean girls mother.
