When did you start shipping each canon pairing?

Naruto and Hinata - During the Chuunin Exams, Hinata offering Naruto treatment after his victory, Naruto offering Hinata support during her fight with Neji, and Hinata using Naruto as inspiration during said fight. The "Proud Failure" speech was the cherry on top.

Sasuke and Sakura - During the Forest of Death, Sasuke going on a Curse Seal infused rampage after asking Sakura who did that to her, confirmed that although it wasn't romantic on his part, he still considered Sakura as someone important to him. And of course, Sakura calming Sasuke down with an embrace from behind and a heartfelt plea for him to stop, because that wasn't who he was, and she didn't want him to sink any further into darkness.

Shikamaru and Temari - When Temari saved Shikamaru from Tayuya, and then gave him that radiant smile. Those two always just had a very natural chemistry with each other.

Sai and Ino - During Shikamaru Hiden, when Ino read Sai’s letter, had seen the grief in his handwriting, and she “had felt Sai’s suffering so keenly that it hurt” - This was a key indication that her feelings for him were now very serious. Her later diving into Sai's mind to bring him back only solidified my status as a shipper.

Chouji and Karui - During Sakura Hiden, when she and Ino were gossiping, and the topic of Chouji paying rather frequent visits to the Cloud village was brought up between the two of them.

sasusaku is about crippling grief, it's about yearning and heartbreak

like sasuke wasn't able to reciprocate sakura's feelings because he was a 12 year old blinded by trauma, but he wasn't immune to her. he absolutely opened up to her in his own ways. the end result was that he hurt her and broke her heart so many times, he left her waiting and alone for years, with all that love that had nowhere to go. and sakura went on to achieve great things while carrying all that love and pain inside her, thinking she's so pathetic because it's been years but. if anything, her feelings have gotten deeper and she can't help herself.
