hello why do you like the two headed calf so much? like what is it about? i read it but i dont get poetry so i couldnt really understand it so

I think it's this painful raw poem about being different and how the world can't be kind to you (freak of nature, it's already dead when the poem begins) The idea that it was born already dying and how after it's death it's going to be put in a museum, which could both be interpreted as it being made a spectacle to be gawked at or to be admired even in death, I think the former.

But its life, however fleeting was beautiful and they were able to see the world in a way that most people wouldn't (twice as many stars as usual) and the evening is perfect and warm and they're safe and loved with there mother. It's the half suffering a strange existence and half being able to experience life at it's most simple and lovely.
