thinking about how many of the so called "core values" and "personality traits" i thought i had are really just inculcated beliefs from childhood and i have no idea who i am without them

hey guys i figured out the source of my problems. my parents taught me to read at age 2, put me in school a year early at age 4, constantly told me how smart and capable i was, and almost exclusively signed me up for intellectual development centred kids' camps, only watched educational tv etc i'm guessing this was a trend among middle and upper class parents in the 2000s. hence my lifelong social struggles and high intellectual capabilities. they also encouraged me to stay at the private school i attended on bursary despite how badly i was getting bullied, because i was getting a great education. and they're in denial about how badly it all stunted me and also about how i am likely autistic. lol. so now i am an insufferable know it all and perfectionist and also the bullying during my peak developmental years has made it stressful and difficult to function socially as a normal person
