To be wrestling with a fellow butch/stud/futch/stem is the dream. But instead of trying to out-muscle each other we are are nipping at each other's ears and neck and teasing to see who will get needy enough first to submit.
I think if someone were to hold me I'd turn into a literal crying fest and i hate it so much because I know that the first time someone holds me after everything I've been through in the last two years I'm just gonna fucking ball my eyes out and I know that no one wants to deal with that because I know I don't even want to deal with my own crying. 😩 Lol the concept of someone actually being gentle towards me when I cry is basically non existent because almost everyone in my life has made it known that it's a problem if I cry and no one wants to deal with it. So Ive always cried alone in my bedroom away from everyone. I cried in front of one of my best friends for the first time in December. There's people that have known me for years and never seen me cry. I don't feel safe to cry around basically anyone and everyone... I always thought relationships would be a safe space for it but the few times I've ever cried in front of a partner it ended up in a huge fight and basically solidified that I needed to be stoic and never have any needs or wants and that I was not allowed to have emotions. Crazy that that happened in every single lesbian relationship I've ever been in. I've always tried to be careful about not throwing my emotions around onto people close to me but the the few times I've opened up even on a like surface level it's blown up in my face. So yea crying is uncomfortable and I hate it so much for myself personally. I feel like years of toxic masculinity that's been thrown onto me that I try to unpack has litterly just been solidified by lesbian relationships. It's crazy because I know it's healthy to cry and that I should feel safe to cry in front of partners and friends but I don't. I don't feel safe crying in front of anyone, ever. Like at all. And maybe that's the kind of intimacy that I'm looking for, one where I can cry in front of someone and they hold me close. It's sad really, but I feel this is one of the worst and harshest stigmas masculine people face. We should be able to cry but too often many people make it known that we aren't allowed to cry. And maybe that's what we all are looking for, a person and a place to feel safe.
Just because someone is masculine; regardless of who they are, everyone should be able to cry infront of their friends and family at the very least without being bullied or ridiculed for it.
It takes being taught that it is not safe to cry infront of others and it takes having to learn with each individual if it is safe to do so.

i know that’s not always the narrative. i know a lot of you have been conditioned to believe that your job is to take care of everyone else and then quietly put yourself back together after. that needing reassurance makes you soft. that asking for tenderness after makes you too much. that your role means you don’t get to need things the way your partner does.
that’s not true. and i need you to hear that.
the amount of presence you bring. the care you put into making someone feel safe and seen and taken care of. the way you hold everything together and pay attention to every small detail. that deserves to be acknowledged. that deserves to be met with the same tenderness you gave.
you are allowed to need to be held after. you are allowed to need someone to look at you and tell you that you did well. that they felt good. that they felt safe. that you were exactly what they needed. you are allowed to have those questions racing in your head and need them answered out loud.
there is nothing weak about that. there is nothing wrong with you for wanting it.
