Hey I'm never going to be an art teacher and able to give out art prompts and challenges to annoy some bunch of kids attending the classes involuntarily, so have one: Finish this drawing.

Regard this canvas like you'd approach a piece of paper with a marker squiggle already drawn on it. You can rotate it any way you please, but not mirror it, and no matter what way you turn it, you can't erase the first squiggle, only incorporate it into your work the best you see how. Have fun, and let me see the results!

I stuck the tape patterns on some paper, used a French curve ruler to add 1 cm seam allowance to all the edges and then cut them out.

This is only half of the front and back. So when I cut it out, I need to double the fabric up to get both left and right sides.

Oh, and I numbered them on order from center front to center back so I didn't forget which ones is which as they are very easy to get mixed up!

Made the cover out of muslin with weft interfacing. Had to ladder stitch the side to keep it on. Thought about a zipper, but it was too bulky.

I've been obsessed with stays and corsets lately bc I have a full bust and small waist. I can never find my fit, so this will be my first project !

I don't have any more muslin for a toile so I just used the tape method again.

Finally got around to working on my broken dressform from a decade ago.

I sacrificed a bra for the cause to match my body measurements. Those things are like $80! 😩

So far, I stuffed it with plastic bags to maintain its shape then taped it since the dials were not attached anymore.

Then I made a fleece slip for padding since i didn't have quilting batting. The pins need something to stick in.

Lastly, I saran wrapped and covered it with masking tape. I took my measurements again and sharpied them on. Fingers crossed it works!

Stayed up all night to make a mushroom collar out of flannel, weft woven interfacing, machine embroidery, hand embroidery, and this really cool ruffle that I barely had enough of. Oh, and a ribbon that I think resembles the fly agaric texture.

I blanket stitched the edge to give it that frilly texture as well as tack it down instead of topstitching.

What do you think? Is this something you would wear ?

Sewing a Large Heart Bag! It's quilted and very large! I added a little bow on the front!

Lots of handsewing bc there are so many layers of fabric and quilting foam!
