liking invader zim in an insane freak abnormal way is so hard

like youll talk to a normal person whos like oh yeah i love invader zim! and they mean that they maybe remember watching it as a kid and own a shirt from hot topic with gir on it and generally have vague positive feelings about it (this is a fine and good way to enjoy something this is not me calling anyone a fake fan)

I can’t be the only one who has this happen, right?? This has happened to me so many times. Am I obligated to say something to them? Or is that not my responsibility?

Honestly when this happens I assume either 1. They actually don’t care that much, they’re just trying to avoid discourse and aggression, 2. They aren’t including me in their dni because I see Zim as a kid, or 3. They just genuinely don’t realize they’re following someone who ships zadr(or more zadqpr but it’s all the same to them I think)
