I surely didn't expect the "Choose your own adventure" TOA event to have so much angst
None of yall know how much I’ve been tweeking about Kohlrabi Cookie and Gingerbrave
Like just from this
I believe that Kohlrabi was once like Gingerbrave but something happedend
And it’s just Gingerbrave is optimistic and friendly while Kohlrabi is the exact opposite of him
Like idk how else to describe it besides these screenshots
Like Kohlrabi seems to be under the belief that everything is not going to matter while Gingerbrave is optimistic that everything will be okay in the end if they try.
Like if we get a Kohlrabi cutscene or boss fight that ultimately ends up with Gingerbrave choosing peace over violence then I will tweek
Like if ANYONE has any parallels or theories tell me because these I need to know more because I might implode
I could go into more theory like rambles but I’m not since I’m eepy
The fact that GingerBrave has no intention in forgiving him while Kohlrabi wants GB to "understand" his motives makes this far more interesting
He has to deal with trauma and now they bully him??? Geez, no wonder why he became an antagonist
A little thing I notice during the last chapter is that while Kohlrabi was gaslighting GingerBrave, he mentions that in case he couldn't stop the oven, he would seek help from other cookies on the floor.
Now the strange thing during this scene is when Lemon Zest burst into laughter and excused himself from interrupting the conversation saying he just had imagined a hilarious scenario.
I'm pretty sure that what caused Lemon Zest sudden reaction was GingerBrave idea of teamwork so I'm assuming that whatever scenario LZ could be linked to the relationship between the Orders (quickly recap that there are Six Orders representing one of the six element and sharing their wishes with one Guardian)
And maybe this "Orders" doesn't like eachother very much because of how LZ laughed about them trying to cooperate in the middle of a conversation.
Kohlrabi Relationship with " The Boss"
Thanks to the Kohlrabi event we got the first mention of the main antagonist “The Boss”. Although Kohlrabi only mentions his boss one time we can start assuming how their relationship is by analyzing the situation.
The only time Kohlrabi mentions his Boss is when he tells us that The Boss doesn't like him to act on his own, implying that the boss doesn't trust him to make decisions regarding ( unknown pronouns) plans.
But what was Kohlrabi's mission? To destroy the 5 floors. And how exactly did he plan to do it? By making Sugar Star Self-Destruct. If you start thinking about it, Kohlrabi wasn't even supposed to take direct action, he only had to supervise the whole plan. We know he is a powerful mage so why keeping him in the shadows.
To me, it looks like The Boss knew about Kohlrabi hating the Guardian for personal reasons and took advantage of it, offering him power in exchange for working for him as ( unknow pronouns) spy.
As for Kohlrabi I think he respects and is loyal to the boss however I think the relansionship between them is only profesional since the time he mentions The Main Antagonist, he calls him boss. They may have the same goals but their reason could be very different.
As for the “working in the shadows” there could be a lot of reasons why they haven't shown up yet but I guess we have to wait till the next update.
There is another possible mention on the story when he mention he is gonna be punished for his actions but since he doesn't mention by who, it could be anyone of the future Bad Guys with a higher rank that him
Kolhrabi Cookie Analysis
The new update of Cookie run Toa presented us the first antagonist of the game, the mysterious mage Kohlrabi Cookie but what kind of character he is, what are his goals, his motives?
It's clear that Kohlrabi Cookie is not the kind of villain who searches for open conflict but a antagonist who prefers to hide in shadow until the opportunity strikes. We can see this on Chapter 9 finale when he decides to follow Gingerbrave gang to the next floor, seeing this as an excellent opportunity to reach is goal
He also improvise and adapts depending the situation like when he was discovered by Lemon Zest and GingerBrave and took advantage of this situation to get to know GingerBrave and target him by make him reflect about the worst possible outcomes of his quest to boost his insecurities.( He may have underestimated his happy-go-lucky personality)
I mentioned his goal before but what exactly has drive Kohlrabi to almost destroy the entire floor
Thanks to the event we know the reason behind Kohlrabi and (possibly) the Boss actions is their aim to destroy the Guardian Cookies. But why does Kohlrabi want this? Sure we could say Kohlrabi likes enjoys having power but the way he let us know this looks like he has been through a lot
We can also notice that Kohlrabi after making some stalactites fall, he fast regrets that decision so he has morals and doesn't wish to hurt other cookies outside his goal
So I think the reason Kohlrabi wants to destroy the Guardians is personal. We know nothing about his past only that it wasn't exactly happy
However we can see on the event that Kohlrabi has a photo on his pendant about someone he cared about, possibly the only one who has been nice to him.
And the reason the “someone” isn't around could be the Guardian Cookies passive behavior. Another option is that maybe he was similar to GingerBrave, like the prodigy magician who was thrown away from his position for unknown reason .
Personally I like the idea of the Guardian Cookies not being completely saints. In the Cookie run saga we can clearly see good and evil between the two sides ( Dark Enchantress, Logan Dragon, The Beasts) so I think it would be neat that in this game there were more shades of gray rather than black and white.
