The Club of Rome is an organisation of powerful politicians and scientists. They met in 1968 and talked about global warming, pollution, the effects on poverty and migration, the problems of constant economic growth, etc.

In 1972 they published “The limits of growth”, where they talked about the need for sustainability instead of economic growth. Outlining everything that is bothering us now.

But hey, yep. It’s totally a recent problem and politicians didn’t knew about it freaking 50 years ago and were warned back then to change something ASAP.

@loveandthxnder the other blog isn’t too wrong though. Words can be either masculine or feminine and in a way given a gender. The most prominent example is boats are always considered to be “she’s”. It’s less prominent in the English language (French is a language that has “feminine” or “masculine” given to a lot of words) but nevertheless it still definitely occurs
