Oneâs life is a story, but each moment is a poem.
My memories are bright,
Dripping in sunlight.
Itâs strange how each year becomes duller and duller.
I remember the Christmas that I began to stop feeling.
I lay in bed and I thought,
Why do I feel nothing?
When I think of the time I spent looking at the stars, I realize I was not just looking at the stars, but into the soul of God. And in those moments, I opened my soul for God to gaze into as well. So there we were, just God and I, staring into each otherâs souls, seeing each other for who we really are. I hope everyone can experience that somehow.
I will not lie to myself and pretend like life is a cold and simple void. It is not. Life is a web of joy and despair. It is a beautiful tragedy, a tragic beauty, a serene cataclysm, a cataclysmic serenity.
Text: "The summer sun wasn't meant for boys like me. Boys like me belonged to the rain."
đAristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire SĂĄenzđ
the world is so inhospitable to quiet girls
Tell me nice things, tell me lies,
my heart says to my mind.
Do you want to hear me cry?
Art has the ability to tell a story long after the storyteller is gone.
When it rains, everything turns into art.
MBTI TYPES AS BOOK QUOTES
3. Edgar Allen Poe's poems
ENFJ: Sleep, those little slices of death â how I loathe them.
ENFP: I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.
INFJ: And so being young and dipped in folly I fell in love with melancholy.
INFP: All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.
ENTJ: Never to suffer would never to have been blessed.
ENTP: Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.
INTJ: Leave my loneliness unbroken.
INTP: From childhood's hour I have not been as others were. I have not seen as others saw. I could not awaken my heart to joy at the same tone. And all I loved, I loved alone.
ESFJ: "That is another of your odd notions," said the Prefect, who had a fashion of calling everything "odd" that was beyond his comprehension, and thus lived amid an absolute legion of "oddities".
ESFP: You call it hope â that fire of fire! It is but agony of desire.
ISFJ: Convinced myself, I seek not to convince.
ISFP: I was never really insane except upon occasions when my heart was touched.
ESTJ: I intend to put up with nothing that I can put down.
ESTP: To die laughing must be the most glorious of all glorious deaths!
ISTJ: If you wish to forget anything on the spot, make a note that this thing is to be remembered.
ISTP: Believe nothing you hear, and only one half that you see.
As long as I live, if anyone asks me if Iâve been in love, I will not know what to say. Because love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. It never fails. In other words: it doesnât end, it doesnât betray, it doesnât scar the soul. As a young girl, I imagined that this love, this never failing love, would be abundant and easily found in the heart of a man. I was young and wide eyed back then, with all the idealistic hope that a young heart holds. I still have a rather romantic soul. That will perhaps never change. But I know now that âbeing in loveâ is the silliest idea in the world. There is a great difference between love and romance.
âYou can never completely know anyone, no matter how well you think you do. There will always be some truth about them you donât ever get to know.â
â Susane Colasanti, So Much Closer
I wish I could just be a soul without a body. God, how I hate having a body. If we didnât have bodies, people would truly know me, and I would truly know them. No one would be vain in their own appearances or lustful towards someone elseâs. All the barriers that stand against true love would be broken down.
His existence makes life so wonderful yet so unbearable. I know there are reasons why I should leave him, but I have been made a prisoner of love. I cannot escape.
There is wonder in realizing that living is an art form.
I never thought I was brave. But now I realize there are many different types of bravery. I may not appear brave on the outside. I may be afraid to say what I think. But in my mind, I stand up to demons every day. On the inside, I am brave.
