So today is my Tessie’s birthday. It’s been a long time now since she left us, but her birthday is and always will be an important day for me.
So seeing as the stars haven’t come out yet, I’m gonna say what I plan on telling her star tonight. Every time I’m out under the stars, I find the brightest one and that’s her. That’s my girl. So here’s everything I’m going to say.

Happy birthday, sweetheart. Twenty four today, and god I wish you were here to celebrate it with me. You’d love my partners, both romantic and QP. You’d love how they make me smile. You’d love how happy they make me.
There have been so many times over the years you’ve been gone that I’ve seen something in passing and my first thought has been “oh, Tessie would love this” and then it hits me all over again. I tell your star about it every time.
It’s… hard to know what to say at times like this. Hard to know what words would be enough, would do justice to the sweet girl you were. All the English degrees in the world, and I’d still feel unprepared when it came to describing just how important you are to me. And yes, I did say are, because even now you’re gone you’re still my sweet girl, the brightest star in my sky.

My father-in-law has terminal inoperable pancreatic cancer. We're honestly not sure if he's going to make it to Christmas. He gets dizzy often, needs to nap every 2 hours, has feet numbness and his hands shake. His blood sugar keeps dropping and he keeps almost passing out. His fmla benefits run out in two weeks.
I'm not telling you all this so you can feel bad for the family and tell me you're sorry and all that.

Anyways, progress has been made! Not with my novel, but I have just finished Flufftober day one which makes me very happy :)
I’m hoping to do both Flufftober and Kinktober this year! Probably should have started earlier than now, but I remembered it existed the other day and checked for prompts only to find they’d been posted like a month ago 😂
So there's several dispensaries in my city, one of which pays a guy to do advertisement sign flipping for them, and I need to describe this man because he is just, the most literal definition of the phrase "weed man" I have ever seen.
He's like 6 feet tall and built like a bean pole while simultaneously being all muscle (you can physically see the muscle definition in his arms, it's insane), flipping around this sign while wearing what i can assume is his company assigned uniform, which is a bucket hat, a sort of long sleeve t-shirt and long pants, all print covered with the same stock image of weed leaves.
Every time I see him he is LOCKED IN to flipping that sign. Laser focused. Never drops it. I'm obsessed with him.
Current project is a Bucky/OC fic (I don’t write /reader very well so I’m deviating from the original prompt/request slightly) to Provider by Sleep Token.

do we think vessel had a moment of panic when he first saw project atlantic's sea of green lights for tndnbtg on the last tour thinking for a second that he'd somehow spoiled something abt even in arcadia by accident
maybe i'm being overly negative but it makes me uneasy not knowing how many of the moderators in the official server are actually involved with sleep token's marketing team/RCA. in this instance it's relatively harmless since they're just trying to gather fans in one space to discuss clues but on the other...i don't know. something about it rubs me the wrong way. dumping thousands of people into an already massive server on short notice will cause a host of technical issues and this puts a lot of pressure on the unpaid mods of the server to do the legwork for them.
i know sleep token has always been a band that thrives on mystery but the lack of transparency here leaves me both suspicious and wary.
i've always been of the opinion that there should be a firm separation between fans and the band itself. i want to be a little freak as far away as possible from anyone actually involved in sleep token as a project. i don't want them trying to gauge how to best squeeze hype and/or money out of me.
Just one note: as of right now the Discord server in question is not official (as in "made by and/or run by RCA"). It's fan owned and fan run and has been the whole time (5+ years?). Maybe RCA is planning on taking it over, I don't know, but as of right now, status quo is it's unofficial, fan started, fan owned, and fan run.
An addition to this: obviously nobody other than RCA themselves know what they are planning, but the mods of the server have stated that they have not been approached regarding any form of takeover, and there are no discussions happening currently about making the server official.
(Also it’s almost 7 years that the server has been running)
But I totally see where you’re coming from, OP, it does make me super uneasy just seeing how fast the server grew in such a short time, and that’s even without the additional fact of it being someone affiliated with the band that caused that to happen

The Morse code from the Pan and Echo audio files was summed up into eight lines of dialogue (for lack of a better word).
At first I thought it was a 9 Line, which is a call for medevac report, due to the SOS. But it is missing a ninth line, so I asked a friend of mine what they thought. And they said it looks like a weird mix of two report formats: BLUE 2 and GREEN 6.
BLUE 2 is SITREP, or situation report - rather self explanatory. Brief summary of threat activity, then you list off how ready your men and your vehicles/equipment are, and then you give a summary of The Gameplan.
GREEN 6 is EPW (enemy prisoner of war)/Captured Material Report. You've executed The Gameplan, and you've captured people and stuff. This one is a two-parter technically, because you list off who you've captured first and then what you've captured (this can include land and buildings, so like if you captured a hilltop or castle or smth), you state the unit that did the capturing, when the capture happened, and a brief summary of how you did it.
So now, we break the message down. The first two lines don't really align with any report, so we'll focus on 3 onward.
Line 1: "I've been waiting long for you"
Line 2: "Behold"
Line 3 (friendly locations as from a BLUE 2): WA and RL, which ended up being WRAL, which is the news channel for Raleigh, NC (NORTH CAROLINA BABY, LET'S GOOO). Their meteorologist made a * post * about 3/29 on Instagram.
Line 4 (DTG [Date Time Group] of capture, as from the second half of a GREEN 6): "Two days in the morning", two days from now it'll be 3/29, AND there's a partial solar eclipse that day (though it's very close to full), and where the eclipse will be most prominent over the Atlantic, it'll be at maximum around 10:47 AM UTC. So the DTG would be written as 291047MAR2025.
Line 5 (place of capture, as from a GREEN 6): "In Arcadia"
Line 6 (circumstances of capture, as from a GREEN 6): "Carpe" (Latin for "seize")
Line 7: "Broadcast interruption, nothing"
Line 8: SOS SOS SOS KN AS
Everyone knows the mayday call. But KN and AS are CW radio signs (telegraphing, Morse code, all that shit they used in both world wars). KN means "only the station named should respond", and AS means "wait". The broadcast was interrupted, but the broadcaster didn't hear anything from the interruption. They're still calling for help because the interruption means someone is listening in when they shouldn't be, so the broadcaster may be compromised, and they're asking for an answer from whoever they were broadcasting to before saying "wait" (maybe as in "don't send rescue immediately").
Now, let's look at something else rq. The metadata of the audio files.

Another report to mention: BLUE 1, SPOTREP. These are written up when scouts observe any known or suspected threat activity in the AO (area of operation).
And I want to amend rq, the emails from a few weeks ago with the respective wording: House Veridian "observe", and Feathered Host "seize".
This is a House Veridian SPOTREP of a Feathered Host SITREP/capture broadcast, probably done by our Observer doing what the green bois call channel hopping, and the Broadcaster not securing their comms line.
I really want to know who Vessel knows. Every country does a lot of this stuff differently and has differing names for it, but I just find it really neat that it seems to be US-based (unless the UK military also operates this way 👀👀👀)
