TW: an ABSURD amount of fluff, vow renewal, kisses, yes they're wearing cowboy gear, yes sam too, deans got a southern drawl and nobody can say shit about it, there is tears, IN HEAVEN (post-finale), a little bit of angst, but they make up for it, they both have facial hair (and dean has longer hair idc)

Dean woke up next to Cas again, like he has for years now. Cas looked so peaceful sleeping. He still didn't have to, especially now that Jack gave him his wings, and angel privileges back.
Today was their anniversary.
"5 years, Dean Winchester." Cas smiled the night before, pressing barely there kisses to Dean's forehead.
"5 years, Castiel Winchester." Dean giggled, laying sleepily in bed. He rolled himself into a ball, and let Cas drape himself over top.
Dean stretched his arm out, rubbing his thumb softly over Cas' face, watching the skin twitch under the touch, Cas slowly waking up.
"Dean.." Cas grumbled, morning voice thick and arousing, Dean smiled at the angel.
"Hey, baby." Dean whispered in reply, kissing his husband with only a slight regret from the aftertaste of morning breath and the scratchy beard. Dean grinned anyway.
"Today's a big day, hun." Dean nudged his face into Cas' neck, wrapping around the angel's pliant, tired body. Cas swung his arms over Dean's back.
"Yes, I remember.." Cas mumbled, the vibrations of his voice echoing long in Dean's mind.
"That means we gotta get up." Dean kissed Cas' clavicle, and the angel groaned in protest.
"5 more minutes, beloved. I can't see you until the ceremony, and I'm not quite ready to part with you just yet." Cas kissed the top of Dean's hair.
Dean sighed, as if he would've fought Cas' stance anyway, and nodded.
"5 more minutes, but that's it. We'll have plenty of time after."

Dean sat patiently on a stool, Eileen taking a set of thinning shears to his hair.
Sam was smiling, just barely, at Dean. Dean did not miss this, and he pointed it out fairly quickly.
"Whatcha lookin' at? You mad your brother looks better than you?" Dean smirked.
Sam rolled his eyes, but his smile deepened.
"Sure, bud," Sam inhaled, scratching his own hair before looking into Dean's eyes.
"I'm proud of you, Dean."
Dean was taken aback. Sam hasn't said something like this since he was about to die. Dean's eyes widened. Is Sammy about to die?! Oh, shit, we're in Heaven.
Dean looked down, a gentle smirk on his face.
"Thanks, Sammy. It means a lot to me that you're still here. Especially as my best man. And brother, too, I guess." Dean chuckled, Sam clapped his shoulder.
'You know that's right,' Eileen signed quickly, and Sam groaned. Dean gave her a fist bump.
Eileen finished up Dean's hair, threading some amazing smelling oil stuff through his longer locks. Sam poked fun at how he let his hair grow so long after wanting Sam's short for even longer.
"I keep it long because Cas likes it. He really loves to pull it, too." Dean replied, snarky. Sam gagged, but Eileen barked an ugly laugh.
Sam followed Dean into the next room, where his outfit hung on hangers by the door; A well fitted, expensive, 3-peice suit, navy, with a bolo tie, fashioned with a sky blue slide, a tan cowboy hat, and deep brown boots.
"Oh, Sammy, isn't she gorgeous?" Dean grazed his hand over the sleeve of his suit jacket.
"You're calling your wedding suit a she?" Sam raised an eyebrow.
"It jus' fits, alright? Jeez." Dean rolled his eyes, pulling the outfit down and hanging it over his arm, starting the walk to the guest bathroom.
"Dean, wait," Sam called, stopping his brother in his tracks.
"What's up?" Dean's voice was soft, careful. Was something actually wrong with Sam?
"I just..I wanted to tell you how amazing this is." Sam started, walking towards Dean.
"I mean, us, both retired, married to the people of our dreams. Both in Heaven, a place neither of us thought we'd end up, honestly." That made Dean laugh. "But, seriously. I'm so, so proud of you, Dean. For everything. You've got a good man, a good home. A good life."
"I love you, Dean." A tear slipped from Sam's eye, and a collection sat on the edge of Dean's waterline.
"I love you too, Sam." Dean pulled his brother in for a hug, and held him for at least a minute.
"Woo, is it rainin' in here or is it jus' me?" Dean grinned as he pushed off of Sam, the taller Winchester rolling his eyes again.
"Careful, Sam. Roll those any harder they'll get stuck back there." Dean slapped Sam's back.
"Shut up." Sam drawled, and watched as his brother disappeared into the bathroom.

Cas stood firmly, looking at Claire, who was bent over in a giggle fit at his suit.
A tan coat, navy pants, a bolo tie with an olive green slide. Boots and hat a deep brown.
"Why are you laughing?" He looked at the girl.
"Oh, I-It's..Hah! You're wearing cowboy shit to get married! I can't evenn!" Claire cackled, Kaia pinching the bridge of her nose behind her.
"I think it looks great, Cas." Kaia put in her two cents, and Cas nodded with a smile.
"I also like it, Castiel! It really fits you and Dean." Jack grinned, biting into a chocolate bar.
"Thank you, everyone else," The angel glared at Claire, who raised her hands in giggly surrender. "For the support. I must say, I didn't even pick it out. I believe it was Eileen who found our suits."
Everyone made a unanimous sound of 'Ahh,' in agreement. Made sense, now that they thought about it. She did have pretty cute fashion.
"Okay, padre, lets get you cleaned up for this cowboy weddin'." Claire faked a southern accent, and Cas smiled.
Claire and Kaia both worked to fix out his hair, taking an oddly long time to decide which side to swipe it to. They picked left, after maybe 10 minutes.
Jack used his low-cost powers to set up most of the ceremony, like the chairs and the flowers that decorated the whole of the field they planned it.
Cas sorted out his note cards, the ones that held his vows. He doesn't know why he made cards, he thinks. He has a photographic memory, after all.
"Just in case, Cas," Claire smiles, pressing a kiss to the top of his hair.
"Thank you, girls. You too, Jack. For this. All of it, really. I don't think I'd be here, let alone married to Dean if it weren't for you." Cas wiped his eyes.
"You spent 12 years eyefucking with Dean and you didn't think you'd get married? Wow, you must truly be oblivious." Claire scoffed, but Kaia gave her the motherly stink eye, and she corrected herself quick.
"Claire kind of has a point, Cas. You guys have been best friends since a few months after you met. Honestly, I'm just surprised it didn't happen faster." Jack shrugged.
"I do love you all, you know. Like my own children, even as an angel." Cas whispered.
"I'm yours biologically, actually." Claire cut in.
"And I'm God!" Jack chimed.
Cas groaned, shaking his head with a laugh. The rest of the room followed.
Silence filled the room, comfortable and carefree.
"5 years, Cas." Claire grinned, stepping closer to pull him in for a hug. It quickly turned into a group hug, before they all left the angel alone with his new get-up.
He sighed at the set of clothes, eyes catching on the slide.
The same green as Dean's eyes.
The same green as his soul.
This is perfect, he thought to himself.

"You ready, Dean?" Jack held his hands on Dean's arms, rubbing up and down slowly.
"Never been more ready." Dean gulped, and Jack smiled. He pat Dean's arm before turning around to open the door for Cas to come in.
"Dear, god.." Dean exhaled, tears filling his eyes.
Cas looked absolutely beautiful. His hair was perfect under the hat, his boots hit the ground perfectly as he walked. His tie slide was the best match to Dean's eyes that he's ever seen. He had a scruffy beard speckled with white. Dean blinked away a tear.
"Oh, Dean." Cas whispered as he neared the man, cupping his jaw. He pressed a kiss to the tip of Dean's nose, and a soft sniffle came from beside them.
There Jack was, tears streaming down his face, mouth in a permanent pout. He was trying to hold in the crying, but he was failing pretty miserably.
"Jack, c'mere." Dean motioned for Jack to come in, and both Cas and Dean hugged him in between them. Dean watched and even felt as Jack relaxed in his arms, soft but emotionally charged sobs filling the air.
"I love you, Jack." Dean whispered into the boy's hair, and Jack shuddered, gripping Dean tighter.
"And I, too." Cas followed, kissing Jack's forehead.
Jack nodded, pulling away, and he let Dean fix up his suit.
"Alright, guys. This is it," Dean grinned, wiping his own eyes.
"Let's get outta here." And Dean hooked his arm through Jack's, who's other went through Cas', and they opened the door to the aisle of flowers outside.

Garth stood at the front, under an arch made of white painted wood and sunflowers.
The couple walked up, Sam and Bobby already on his side of the altar. On Cas', Jo and Eileen stood.
"We gather today, at the mark of the 5 year anniversary of our dear friends, Dean and Castiel Winchester, to renew their wedding vows, and to enter a new life, and to start a new journey. These lovely men, met on a fateful day over a decade ago, in 2009. Dean Winchester, the Righteous Man, raised from Hell under God's word, and Castiel, an angel of the lord, a leader of many." Garth spoke, smiling gently at the small crowd.
Dean and Cas locked eyes, and squeezed eachother's hands tight, grinning.
"Now, to everybody here who knows these dorks," A snicker from the crowd. "You know that they have created the most beautiful bond over these 17 years. But, for the last 5, they've shared an even more profound one than before. Today, 5 years might not seem long, but it will in 5 more, or 10. 5 might not seem challenging, but it will. 5 might not seem important, but it is." Garth's voice wavered softly.
"First, to speak, is Cas. You may cite your vows." Garth looked at Cas, and backed away.
The angel cleared his throat, and looked down at his hands holding Dean's.
"I have been alive for many millennia, now. I don't have a birthday, I don't have a real family. My 'brothers and sisters' are angels who despise me, and their title is more of a sick rank system, rather than a family type of deal. My 'father' was a crazed author who controlled everyone's stories, and now, it's technically the son of Lucifer. But really, I like to call him mine. I like to call him Kelly's. I like to call him Sam's. I like to call him yours, or ours. Our son is god, I mean, what?!" Cas laughed, eyes wet. Dean grinned and shook his head.
"But, that's not the point. The point is, is that now, I do have a family. I have a husband, who's family is mine too. And, in result, I have a brother, I have a sister. I have a mom. I have an aunt, uncle, and cousin, Dean." Cas looked over at Sam, then Mary, then Ellen and Bobby.
"I have a family. I didn't know I was able to love almost 2 decades ago. I didn't know I was able to care, even. But, I 'came off the line with a crack in my chassis', you know. And now, knowing that we could've had this kind of relationship for years before we got to it, I just wanted to let you know that I have you, to hold and to keep safe. That you, Dean Winchester, are my Righteous Man, and that means that I love you." Cas finished, swallowing wetly.
"And now you, Dean." Garth spoke after a moment of comfortable silence.
"I always wondered what my true happiness could even look like. I never did find an answer, then, because the one thing I wanted...It's something I thought I couldn't have." Dean started. He watched emotions flash through Cas' face, because he knew that he recognized the words. He knew that they were his own.
"I-I know...I know now. Happiness isn't in the having, it's in just being. It's in just saying it. I know. I know how you see yourself, Cas. You see yourself the same way your enemies see you. You're a 'killer', destructive and explosive. You killed your own brothers and sisters. You're 'an angel of the lord.' And you think that self-hatred and exclusion, that's...that that's what drives you, that that's who you are. It's not. And everyone who knows you sees it." Dean's eyes flicked over the crowd of family.
"Everything you have ever done, the good and the bad, you have done for love. You raised a nephilum for love. You fought who knows how many demons to pull me out of Hell, for love. That is who you are. You're the most caring angel on Earth. Heaven, too. You are the most selfless,ย loving angel I will ever know."
"You know, ever since we met, ever since you pulled me out of Hell...knowing you has changed me. Because I cared, you cared. I cared about you, and I got the same treatment in return. I cared about Sam, and so did you, even though you called him an abomination," A laugh broke from behind him, an ugly sound. "But you, you cared about Jack, and that made me care. Care about everything. I care about the whole world, our enemies, myself. You changed me, Castiel. I love you."
Garth stepped closer, again, and smiled. His cheeks were streaked softly.
"And this, is when we will exchange rings, and for you guys, I'd like for you to read the engravings." Garth nodded towards the crowd, and Claire brought up a set of wedding bands, one a dark silver and the other gold.
Dean picked up the gold ring, and Cas the silver, they turned them over, reading the words inside out loud.
"I'd rather have you, cursed or not." Dean choked.
"You asked what about this is real. We are." Cas whispered, his voice growing quieter. There was definitely a stifled sob in the audience, then.
The metal bands where slid onto the respective fingers, and they held hands again.
"And now, Dean and Castiel Winchester, you may kiss, as a symbol of your undying and forever growing love for one another, on this special anniversary for you both." Garth stepped back again, and wiped his eyes with his sleeve.
Cas stepped forward, and wrapped his arms around Dean's neck. Dean's hands slid around Cas' waist under the suit jacket. They tried to set their foreheads together, but their hats got in the way. The crowd laughed, and the couple smiled uncontrollably.
Dean slipped his hat off, not caring what his hair probably looked like, and stepped impossibly closer to Cas.
Finally, they pressed their lips together. A loud few cheers and clapping came from the group in front of them, as they whispered sweet words into eachother's mouths.
"I love you so much, Cas." Dean chuckled, his lower lip trembling as tears slid down his face.
"I love you more, Dean." Cas cried, his laugh breaking in the middle from a sob.
