I’ve been sitting on some big financial decisions as of late, you guys. And it’s been something I’ve thought about for a while and kept mostly to myself as of late. But I think I’m at a precipice that is gonna dictate a few things down the line this year and next year, so I think it doesn’t hurt to bring it up with you followers.

I’d like to get some feedback or an idea from the followers who would be interested or willing (if their personal situations allow) for something I’ve been considering doing, but was too nervous to ever really bring up.

This year I’d had a full time job, so the SaM updates have been a lot slower. I work fulltime every week and only have weekends to do Satan and Me and Here it Comes. However, there might be a situation coming up where I have to seek out another fulltime job, probably in customer service is my guess. So here’s I guess where I’d like to get legit feedback from the readers.

If I could make a minimum of $2,500 a month on my patreon, that would be enough money for me to live where I currently reside for my home. That’s the bear minimum for me to live with fulltime work. However, if I made at least $2,500 a month I can treat SaM as my fulltime job for you readers (and of course anyone who put their pledge on patreon would get the bonus goodies there as well depending on your pledge - I have $1, $5, $10, and $20 options) and update probably triple the amount I’ve been doing this year. 

Last year, with my surgery, at least until around July, I didn’t have a job so I was able to update multiple times a month consistently. I figure before I would have to search for other fulltime employment, I would go out on a limb and give the readers an opportunity to see if they’d like to do that.

I know not everyone is in a financially stable situation where they can, which is understandable. But if 2 ½% of the followers on this blog were able to and wanted to, I would be able to make SaM my fulltime work for you and update frequently.

Is this something that any of you would be interested in? If it isn’t, I have no issue with that. But I would like to update more for you guys, I am just unable to if I work fulltime elsewhere to provide for myself.

Depending on the feedback, it might dictate a few choices I have to make within the next month.

This is my patreon if any of you are interested. I need to decide something by August so I figured I’d see what your opinions on this option is.

Spotlight #13  - SailorMoveArt (Sailor)

Tell us a bit about yourself! I’m Sailor! I’m a graphic design major, I currently have my associates but I’m working on my bachlors! I’m debating  on my masters, so fingers crossed! I love the color green, flowers and anime. I am addicted to Coke Cola and sour cream and onion chips. I’m “the shrek friend” if you know me haha. I work and go to school so I don’t have a lot of free time but I still try to make time to draw.

When did you get into the fandom and how did you stumble upon it?       I follow Mookie000 and one day she answered an ask that said “Your art style reminds me of “thisiskindagross” do you read Satan and Me?” And I looked it up and I’ve been hooked ever since!  

Who are your favorite characters/pairings? I love Mike P! He’s my favorite human, Natatie is my second favorite! Hmmm. I’m at a tie for Angel Mike and Gabe right now but my favorites change all the time it just depends on my mood same goes for my top pairings, but I love all pairings! Crack or canon doesn’t matter I love them all it makes talking about hc and aus easier B)

Favorite moment in the comic? I loved when Natalie tried to shake Michael’s hand and he smacked it away and went in for a hug! “I don’t do handshakes Natalie.” I love it ;A;

What is your biggest inspiration as far as your art goes? Oh god, anything it could be anime, tumblr posts, music is a big one! I can really look at anything and get inspired to draw. If you see my irl i always have my sketchbook on me just in case.

What would you say is your favorite piece that you’ve done so far? Tough question! 

Currently this piece I did for Dani! But that’s also my most recent piece and my art keeps getting better and better so it’s just gonna change again haha.  

What would you say is one of your favorite things to draw? Hair and different body types! I love anything flowy really and hair is so fun to shade! And I love chubby bodies they’re just so natural to draw for me now!

What do you think influences your art style? Tumblr artist for the most part. Comics too lots of anime. I think my style is kind of my own frankenstein of other styles I’ve liked over the years but it fits me.

What are some of your hobbies you enjoy? I love watching bad horror movies, drawing and playing video games, but most of my time does to work and school sadly..

Before joining SaM, what was a fandom you were part of and are there any fandoms you’re into outside of SaM? I was really into Steven Universe for almost a year it kind of made me start to get serious about my drawing and then SaM hit me like a train haha. Currently I’m getting back into SU and I joined the Fallout 4 fandom too because I love that game. SaM is my main though!

Is there anything else you’d like the fandom to know about you or anything you’d like to say to the fandom as a whole? I love y’all SaM has made me a lot of friends over the past year and I don’t have words to express how grateful I am for that.
