What happens when Van, a film nerd and writer, transfers to The Belmar School their sophomore year? They were wooed by the school paper, The Yellowjacket. But is Tai Turner too protective of it? What sort of sparks are flying?

They learned of this opportunity through Misty, a freshman theatre nerd. Misty is dating Van’s best friend in Wiskayok, Nat.

Meanwhile, at Belmar, Tai Turner runs the Yellowjacket. She’s aided by Shauna Shipman and Lottie Matthews. Shauna and Tai used to date, but Shauna is now throughly taken by Jackie Taylor, student council queen.
