Gonna spitball a Magnus Protocol theory just before the new episode (more of a potential story idea, but who's keeping track), spoilers for TMA and TMAGP under the cut
So this post was gonna be "I think the watcher is trying to make a new aspect of itself to exist fully in the MAGP universe using alchemy and Colin's body" and then I had a brain blast and the theory changed completely. I've seen it suggested a few times that Colin's body parts showing up in the OIAR's computers could be John, Martin, Jonah or Colin trying to escape FR3-D1, potentially with alchemy. I agree with the alchemy bit, but I have a different take on who is trying to use it and what for.
Firstly, I'm fairly certain FR3-D1's behaviour is because of the fears spreading through the multiverse at the end of TMA. In TMA, one of the final reveals is that it's not the eye making the tapes we listen to, but the spider. In fact, a lot of the events of TMA were a result of the spider specifically manipulating the eye's thirst for knowledge. I think this same dynamic is playing out with FR3-D1. It's monitoring everything all the time, it speaks in Jon, Martin and Jona's voices, obviously it's the eye. Just like how the tape recorders are constantly monitoring everything in TMA and recording them is how Jon eats, obviously they're the eye. Or so you think until actually, fuck you, it was the spider the whole time (I really don't like this twist in TMA, but it makes a nice parallel for my theory so I'll save that for a different post.)
I think the talkers are the equivalent of TMA's real statements. The ones that only go on tape. Any incident that's not a talker? Not real. All the talkers? Real. Jon, Martin and Jonah (or at least their voices), once again, unwittingly talking to the spider while serving the eye. Saves the spider the effort of parsing all that information for what it needs and lets it do a bit of manipulation to tide itself over until it knows what it's doing.
Whilst the eye just craves knowledge, the spider needs understanding. It manipulates and plans and in order to do that, it needs to know how shit works. I think the spider is once again using the eye's thirst for knowledge, but this time it's to ascertain as much information about this new universe and its mechanics as possible. And why stop at just information? Why not get a practical understanding of it as well? I don't think there's a specific goal with Colin's body, or at the very least I don't know what that goal would be. I think the spider is just messing around with it to try to figure out alchemy so that it can start laying plans and satiate its hunger for manipulation whilst taking full advantage of its new environment.
I could write more but tired
