My version of cybertronian babies!! I love giving my ocs kids and the terms ‘sparkling’ and ‘carrier’ have grown on me a lot, but I don’t like the nsfw implications that always come with it, so I made my own lol. With my own ocs obviii

Basically sparklings grow from the ground as little balls of code, but need a grown cybertronian to develop and mature. This is not ‘robot is pregnant’! It’s more like a symbiotic relationship. The sparkling will latch onto a bot, with the bots permission and hide away on their frame, typically under the thickest bit of armor they can find. They’ll stay there and the bot will feed them bits of code. Carriers don’t get hormonal, if anything they’re usually more detached because they’re actively feeding code to a sparkling. However, they are protective and have no reservations about using force to keep their sparkling safe and out of harms way.

The sparkling will transform out into the world when they feel safe, a feeling which is fed from the carrier. They come out soft, blind, mute and almost completely dependent. The only transformation they can achieve is molding back into their carriers frame, typically when danger comes about but some sparklings just want the contact. More transformations come with frame upgrades. Some sparklings mimic not only their carriers colors but their shapes as well.

Carriers aren’t technically ‘parents’ but most sparklings treat them like one.
