As you may have heard, Mayor Curtatone issued a new gathering ban this afternoon, mandating that all social clubs, theaters, places of worship, and gyms/health clubs close until April 6, starting tonight at midnight. Unfortunately, we are included in this ban, and while we had hoped to keep our doors open and toys available to you, we will be forced to abide by the new restriction. Even though it is considered a mandate, this was not an easy decision for us to make. We will be standing by our commitment to you, and while we are so grateful for the support and wishes to maintain membership dues from many of our athletes, we will be suspending all payments while the gathering ban is in effect. While this will have a financial impact on the business side of Rx, we feel that it is most fair to reschedule your membership dues to a later time that you will be able to use our offerings, and fill our gym with happiness again! I would also like to take a moment to recognize that this will also have a financial impact on the coaches of Rx Strength Training, and we will do our very best to be sure that they are supported, as every individual in the state of Massachusetts, the country, and the world, will face an uncertain financial burden due to the consequences of the very important method of social distancing recommended by health organizations across the globe.
