I stumbled upon a story on instagram, and my god was I shocked. So it was a link to a post that had a poll on who has the better relationship, Jon or Jordan? People legit said jonxcandice. What threw me off was some saying she was emotionally stable, and trustworthy. Like how old are these people? Are their brains developed? Sweet Jesus! People really gotta rewatch the show.

Was reading a post about krypto being introduced last minute. Now I’m like wishing they introduced him in earlier seasons because of Jon. Like this kid never felt seen nor heard. With krypto, the dog could have been like his best friend. How Jon vented to Sophie about the bad things he felt, he could do that with krypto. Like those would be cute scene.

Finale post 🥲

So it took me a couple of days to process the finale. I am someone with adhd, but possibly also autistic, and change has never been easy for me. Tv shows tend to become my special interest, and it hurts to let them go. So def a gut punch with Superman & Lois ending so soon.

But holy cow! They did lois dirty by giving her that ending. The woman who had a lifetime of trauma deserved better. Including Clark because he gave up his life for others countless times. He deserved to truly grow old with her. I love the twins' ending wish we could have seen them in their suits more. Glad they found their own lois. I keep seeing people wanting it to be Sarah and Candice. Like I can already imagine, in a few years this show is gonna be part of the, “maturing is realizing……” trend, with people realizing they shipped a toxic relationship. Also both are brunette, and with what we could see in the finale their kids are blond. So unless she cheats on Jon, blond kids are not possible.

In the end, I loved this show, especially because of the Twins. I saw two people I could relate to so much. Im alot like Jordan in the sense of his social anxiety and him not having friends and only his brother, as well as Jon because of the s3 episode 11 scene in the hospital. Him saying that when he has a big problem, he still has a big problem (unlike jordans powers manifesting making things better.). Basically he feels stuck a lot of time, and as a neurodivergent that's what life feels like to me. So again I am so grateful for this show, I am going to miss it so much!

I wonder if older Jon is the one with the blond chick cuz that would mean he probably dumped Candice at one point in his life. If so, that’s my consolation prize. Cuz the brunette doesn’t really look like what Candice would look like as an older woman.

Rant!

So after reflecting on these past few episodes, i’m deadass curious if the people in the writing room were on pot or some other drugs. It seems to me that they are gearing to make Jonxcandice endgame, and they legit just gave another reason why they shouldn't be. Firstly, we finally see a drastic change in jon. In season one Jon proved to be very super perceptive. During one scene, he pinpoints exactly what Sarah is feeling when she is concerned about her dad. Now fast forward to season 4, he has to ask Denise why she is upset. Secondly an altercation ensues with classmate Timmy Ryan. Jon doesn't seem to realize that what his girlfriend did has had a negative impact on timmy. He can’t even begin to understand why Timmy is upset. Timmy reveals that just how inferior Jon felt before he took drugs, he had the same exact feelings too, but that fell to deaf ears. Rewind to season 3 Coach is upset at Jon, and he ends up disclosing that he lost a job at the school. Jon seems to take a narcissistic approach when dealing with this. He kind of makes it about himself, and never apologizes to Coach. Not excusing Timmy and coach's negative behavior, but there is always two sides of a story. This goes to show that candice has negatively rubbed off on him. Including the fact that in s1 when teagan treated him badly he walked away, but in one s4 episode he gives desperate and drives to topeka to get candice back after she dumped him the same way eliza did. Signs of her narcissism being apparent before. For example, treating Jon badly b4 he took the fall for her (saying it's his fault that she did not tell him she “knew” timmy was on drugs), and after Jon doing this big thing for her, she kind of started to treat him somewhat better. Two being so self-absorbed that she accuses him of being judgy, even though for the obvious reason of him still being with her toxic self, he is not. There is the fact that i was reminded in s2 she had an annoyed face when jon was complaining about being benched and apparently by that time she was already a drug dealer, and still sold timmy drugs even though it was causing problems with her boyfriend. Clearly cared more about the money than her man, and not about his well being truly. In the scene where they are getting caught, she starts crying about being scared of the people behind the xk hurting her, but it makes you wonder where was this shit, when Jon showed up to her door. If she was scared of them, why would she put her boyfriend in harm's way. Anyway thats my rant.
