[✿] — Upon realizing that Holly had, indeed, heard his stomach rumbling, Raguna can feel his cheeks heat up a bit as he gives a sheepish laugh, running his hand through his hair. “Aha… heard that, huh? Yeah, I was starting to get pretty hungry, so I’m pretty happy you came when you did.”
When she alludes to the recent fires, Raguna nods, expression growing more solemn. He felt bad for both the victims and the dragons— it was a pretty unfortunate situation all around. “Yeah… thankfully no one got severely hurt, though. Gotta be grateful for that. And the rebuilding’s been coming along nicely too, so all the displaced people will be back in their homes and businesses in no time.”
He makes a bit of a face at the mention of a fire station. It was nice that the Leudans thought to make one (though he hadn’t even been aware that there wasn’t one over there), but he couldn’t help but wonder when Arcadia would follow suit. It would definitely minimize the effects of the disaster if it were to happen again.
But, it was as she said: enough about that. “No, not at all! Feel free. We need to catch up, anyway. I’m curious about what you’ve been doing since you were gone.”
・✧ *:・゚❁ — Holly rests a hand on her hip and shifts her weight to one side, smirking at the color that suddenly appeared on his face. Her expression shifted to a more sincere one and nodded in acknowledgement. At least people were giving back.
She begins to walk to find some place they could sit and eat. Maybe somewhere underneath a large tree. It was such a nice day, it would be a shame to waste it, what with fall coming soon.
At his question, she hums thoughtfully. “Oh, you know...” She looked to the side for a second, trying to think of what to say. “Just, visiting a... friend! He needed some help with some stuff!”
That had to be the lamest excuse she’s given, but she couldn’t reveal what she was actually doing, could she? Even so, it wasn’t a complete lie. He was a friend that she needed to help!
Thankfully, there was a large tree that hadn’t lost all its leaves yet that they could rest underneath. She stepped under it and turned back to him, hands resting clasped behind her back. “What about you?” She raised herself onto her toes for a moment before returning to normal. “Anything new or...?”
