XKit Rewritten v0.21.0 is out!

This marks the 100th release of XKit Rewritten. The highlights:

Quick Reblog now shows your blog avatar on the blog selector to make it crystal clear which blog you're reblogging to.

Tag Tracking+ now includes an option to list your tracked tags in the sidebar. You can choose to have unread counts in the search dropdown (as it was before), in the sidebar, or in both places.

Trim Reblogs now has an expanded interface that allows picking and choosing which trail items to remove. It's now also possible to attempt trimming legacy posts, though results may vary!

This is just to help all the users who need this info. Some users are new, some do not use a laptop. And it’s perfectly fine! So there might be a few things they don’t know about or are unable to do. Hope this helps!

Also, I found out that there are some features regarding fonts and all which aren’t available on laptop, but are available on mobile browser and app respectively. You can check them out under “How to create a masterlist”.

back for round two of "welcome to tumblr! here's how to finagle your settings into seeing what you want." if you're looking for round one it can be found here (it's about turning off Best Stuff First) now, you may have heard that tumblr recently loosened some policies around nsfw content. This is in part true, although for the sake of staying on topic i would advise reading the guidelines yourself before going too ham with anything potentially spicy. This tutorial is about how to make all that stuff visible to you (or invisible! if that's your preference.) As it is (to my knowledge) hidden by default. I'll also give a short explanation on how to use content filters to further improve your experience. To start, go to the little guy in the top right corner. Then hit the button marked "Settings".

From there you'll be taken to this page. Stay on the account tab and scroll down to the section titled "Content you see"

there's a few different things in this section so I'll start from the top.

Filtered tags will do what it says on the box, filtering out posts tagged with specific things. Filtered Post Content will filter posts based on anything in the post, not just what it's tagged with. adding either is pretty easy. just hit the pencil icon, type in the phrase, word, tag, or username you want to filter and hit the Add button. You can also remove filtered words by hitting the pencil and then the button next to it titled Remove. Community Labels This is where all that stuff about nsfw comes in. Although you'll note there are also options for posts that mention violence or addiction. You can shuffle these settings around to your liking. There's also the setting for "Hide additionally potentially mature content." This setting is (to my knowledge) desktop only, and you'll need to toggle it off if you want to see anything spicy on the ios app.

been seeing a lot of posts for new users about changing your pfp and such but i've yet to see one about how to make sure you're getting your dash in chronological order so i've decided to make one :) so first off, hit the little person icon in the top right corner (they're not usually wearing a hat that's just the palette i have it on)

next, hit the settings button Then hit the tab that says Dashboard and scroll down to the section titled Preferences

Turn off the settings for "best stuff first" "stuff in your orbit" and "based on your likes" "best stuff first" is the equivalent of the Home tab. It pushes certain posts to the top of your dash while smothering others. "stuff in you orbit" and "based on your likes" add new posts to your dash, usually by people you don't follow. Nice if you want to discover people/things without searching too hard, but i do advise turning it off otherwise. note that none of this will prevent you from seeing blazed posts or ads

NOTE: this guide is for the desktop version of tumblr. on mobile, similar settings can be found under Dashboard Preferences, which should be next to Privacy and Media Auto Play.
