to me a random epilogue bf (for a MAIN character mind you) just will show they think of queer relationships as an afterthought. we didn’t really get robin + vickie relationship development shown like they were flirting one moment and then together. we never actually got to see their snowball turn into an avalanche. however, we get to see this with almost all the straight relationships. so if they do it twice then it’s just giving kinda “here damn”. self acceptance is a super important part of the queer experience and i think they show it beautifully, but queer LOVE and JOY are also equally important.
well. lol. the fact random epilogue bf isn’t even real and is just mike’s imagination AND they broke up rovickie. yeah, the duffers didn’t even go “here damn” they just hate queer people.
SEASON 5: will in every episode: 5.05 - shock jock
hi i’m a yuri psychic and i believe quinda is gonna be canon in season 3. why do i believe this? well… heh… let’s just say … my powers ….
sometimes you have to abandon the main school spirits art canvas just to draw wally absorbing rhonda and quinn's lesbian powers via osmosis
I think we know who my favorite school spirits ship is
no need for tuba distance 📏
Not to be one of those gays that thinks every character is gay, but i am one of those gays. And i’m right. These two should kiss.
real
will byers there are no words to express how proud of you i am
love just how confident will looks in the epilogue, he’s unashamed and he smiles so wide and gets up and claps loudly for his friends even when no else will he cheers them on like no one is watching and he wants to go to parties and he feels comfortable and he takes up space and he laughs and screams and jumps around with his friends and his voice is clear and sure and he’s going to go to college and carve out a life full of happiness warmth and joy for himself and it just makes me so happy that at the very least he’s going to have a good life after everything
How are we feeling, chat?
I'll stay in this moment until finale airs thanks
i'm like not even going to lie this goes way past byler. it's the fact that this seems to happen in every big tv show with a queer main character. i'm so sick of straight people writing any gay person that's not a side character as having to just "get over" their long-lasting love for another character and framing all queer love as childish and reducing it to a crush that's a barrier to their self-actualisation. gay people don't have to give up on love to finally be themselves. this "i don't need someone else to be true to myself" thing is a great message except that that shit holds no weight when it's ALWAYS written by a straight asshole as an excuse to sideline their queer character's relationship plotlines. i'm so fucking sick of it
The quality of ST has been going downhill ever since season 1 ended. I'd say that the second season was a decent sequel to a story that didn't require a continuation.
THE OTHER THREE SEASONS? slop, to be honest. They had some great moments and impeccable highlights, but they didn't feel authentic.
I'd say that, the more episodes I watched, the more I clung onto Byler. I felt like, if they managed to pull off this amazingly written queer love story, then it could pose as an apology for all the other terrible writing choices that we're made.
I am now extremely disappointed, this has been queerbaiting at its finest.
it was a seven, the queerbaiting. it got me.
