I was in Torino, Italy for the weekend and I totally fucked up when i comes to eating healthy. Pastas, pizzas, desserts and all pastries I couldn’t resist. So now I’m back, going to pick up where I left. Hopefully I will lose these extra kilos ASAP. #feelingsofatandguilty

it’s early january and it’s time to look back to 2015 and set new goals for 2016. there are three elements that needs to be good to have a balanced life: health, relationship and work.
health 2015: i did bad, i slowly gained 3-4 kgs. in the second half of the year (after my vacation to asia) i’ve been slacking more. i start to eat the fries that came with my stake and the chocolates that’s on my coworkers desk. i didn’t go to the gym as often as the first part of the year. two main reasons: i went on vacation in may and knew that i wasn’t going anywhere after that trip. and my bf moved to the netherlands which means less to time to go to the gym and more dinners together.
health goals 2016:
back to juicing and smoothies everyday
less carbs and sugars (meaning: carbs only allowed once a week)
yoga/pilates or any kind of exercise at least 3x a week
drink at least 2 liters of water a day
start the day with a glass of lime water
lose 2 kgs until april
lose 5 kgs in total by the end of the year
weight goal: 55 kgs
relationship 2015: last year was a big emotional roller coaster. i was very unhappy in the beginning of last year. i came back from a vacation to the bf for a month with as goal to figure out what to do with the relationship. when i came from that vacation i had no clue what to do and where it was going. i almost gave up after being extremely unhappy and sad the first 3 months of 2015. i decided to let go and that was the turning point of everything. in short: he decided to move out here, got a job, moved and now we are living together.
relationship 2016: this is the year of the truth. i’m turning 30 this year and i need to know where my life is going. getting married? y/n kids? y/n. one thing i know is that i don’t have time to bullshit around with a person who isn’t 100% committed. his mom is not giving her blessings because we have different religions. that’s why we’re going to sf to face the situation and explain how we see the future. even though it sounds like he knows what he wants now, it still can be a little tricky. there’s always a possibility that he will change your mind. so when it comes to a goal i would say: clear plans and commitment by the end of the year. if not, it’s time to say good bye.
work 2015: turns out that the manager i had wasn’t the manager i thought he was. he did some things that doesn’t make me like and trust him anymore. i need to be aware of the work situation at the moment. they are letting people and i need to start looking around, because who knows... my current and temporary manager is really nice.i get along with him very well. i just hope he can bring me to another level.
work 2016: i’m waiting for me year end review. not sure what the outcome will be of that one. i hope my new manager saw the good things i did and understand where the struggles came from. besides of new targets my personal goal is look for a new opportunity closer to home and to send at least 4 application letters by the end of the year.

115 gram coconut oil 75 gram sugar (or coconut blossom sugar) 1 egg 1/2 tsp vanilla powder 100 gram (spelt)flower 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp cinnamon Salt 120 gram oatmeal 120 gram raisins (optional)

1 head Chinese leaf, shredded 2 cooked chicken breasts or 200g leftover cooked chicken, shredded 1 mango, peeled, stoned and thinly sliced bunch mint, leaves picked 6 spring onions, sliced diagonally 3 tbsp salted peanuts or cashew nuts, roughly chopped
For the dressing juice 4 limes 4 tbsp sesame oil pinch of sugar splash of fish sauce 2 large red chillies, deseeded and finely chopped
Extras: add some shrimps

In 2013 i started with this blog with the intention to use it more as a food diary to keep track of what i have been eating.i also started working out and stop eating carbs and sugar for a while! in only a couple of months i lost 10 kgs! i fitted jeans that i never fitted before. it felt great.
now 2 years later, i’m still very conscious of what i’m eating. i’m only not that strict anymore. i eat (a little) rice, fries so now and then and broodje sate once or twice a week at that spot by my office. and when i see candies.. i’m really struggling to resist and in 90% of the cases it ends up in my mouth.
luckily, i didn’t gained back the 10 kg, it’s just that i lost a little focus and if i don’t pick it up quickly, i’m afraid i’m back at where i started. so here i am with new goals:
- losing 5-7 kg - more cardio - stabilize and strengthening my lower back (i have hyper mobility and have crazy lower back pain)
some extra goals: - gaining abs - losing the love handles

I'm back
After slacking on my diet and gaining 3 kgs after losing 10 kgs it’s time to start my (green) smoothie routine again. Yesterday i bought a new blender with enough power to crunch ice! A perfect start to begin diet 2.0! My goal this time time is to lose at least 5 kgs, but hopefully i can lose 5 to 10 kgs! To get motivated again i’m going to blog my daily eats again so i can keep track of what i’m eating. For now, bye cookies and hello veggies!
