Yeah like I need you guys to understand that this is just how it works. Tho even the pool is shifting towards C. C is slowly winning temperature; and kg is slooooowly winning weight for even light things that are not your personal weight.

There is an additional confusion which is that if someone is older than 50 then they MAY measure even temperature outside as F. This will be deeply annoying.

Calvin's parents decide to take a Hawai'ian vacation. They are therefore pleased when Calvin seems to make friends with a local girl about his own age and the two of them run off to play

Just want to note that emergency weather radio is no longer available in Canada (outside of marine forecasts) as of March 2026. This service was discontinued despite a lot of pushback from rural and remote communities.

There is now one less way to get weather information in Canada. Environment and Climate Change Canada is ending its long-running Weatheradio

#i have personally relied on weather radio #during power outages and when working in remote areas where internet and cell service do not exist #and really feel this loss #(and wrote to my MP about it when it was first announced in… 2020?)#anyway i also agree with the original post #about hating having emergency and up to date information locked away on private platforms that require an account #so feel it’s important to note that NOAA service is not universal across north america #in case someone got their hopes up #canada #weather

Can everyone who makes video content do a Deaf bitch a favor? Watch your shit with the captions on and the sound off, and then do another round of editing to fix things including but not limited to:

Captions cover the spot on the screen you put the information I need

The dialogue is captioned but not the song you have playing that the dialogue is responding to

You only captioned the person on the screen, not the person off screen who is also talking

No captioning of critical sound effects (alarms, bells, dogs barking, etc)

Speakers are not labelled at moments where it is not clear on the screen who is talking.

Captions cover the spot on the screen that you put the information I need!

crazy how many people will insist the "true" definition of bisexuality is just making every bisexual person seem like a transphobe. like bisexuality is simply defined by liking two or more genders. there's nothing about preferences or trans people in the definition of bisexuality. there is nothing about trans or cis involved in the definition of bisexuality, and bi people can in fact have no genitalia or gender preference. it does, in fact, overlap with pansexuality, omnisexuality, and polysexuality, and the difference is often negligible & down to vibes. you can have a preference with any multisexual label, and no one can make you have a preference if you don't want to. if you're mad about this, consider this: kiss my fucking bi ass and give me 5000 dollars.
