Rick is such a confident asshole in canon, I understand why most fic writers (me included) don't focus on the whole "age gap couple where Old character is shy about how they look compared to Young character" thing. But idk. I think it would be interesting to see Rick being self-conscious. I think it would be nice to see Rick panic over every wrinkle and gray hair. I think it would be cool, neat, and awesome to have him cry while Morty caresses every line of his weathered face and calls Grandpa handsome. Rick Sanchez is my little baby princess and I just want to see him emotionally unwell 💚
