I had a thought that probably would’ve made the ending choice of Good Omens at least feel something (I don’t really know what word to use here satisfying/complete/better…. They all seem negative in this context and I don’t want that) but they didn’t have the time to do it

So picture this:

After the choice to sacrifice themselves for the world have a montage a la s01e03 of Human Crowley and Zira meeting in various points in time, maybe even the same points in time for a parallel (obviously ignoring the bible locations as God doesn’t exist in this universe). Have them present as women in some scenes to show that the gender non conformity/non-binary aspect of their angelic/demonic selves are still there (like Crowley at the Crucifixion). Have the last meeting be between Anthony and Asa but have one of them say something like “have I met you before?” or “Something about you just seems really familiar”. Just so we can see that they did in fact find and choose each other in every timeline

I feel like that would’ve endeared me to the ending instead of just scotch taping a random human au onto the end about two characters who don’t have all that history together.

Did the Good Omens finale give anyone else flashbacks to the end of season 4 of Umbrella Academy?

‘For the universe to be able to flourish and exist somewhat peacefully, the main characters who have flaws and trauma and would risk anything for each other (either because they’re family or lovers) need to be erased from existence.’

It just left me feeling somewhat empty since we never got to see Aziracrow happy after everything they’ve been through. Like yeah we got Asa and Anthony but they’re not who we’ve been following for years.

Idk I just keep thinking of what we could’ve had and the possibilities of what this season could’ve been.
