["It's just a prick from a Ferroseed, I've been hurt worse."] He huffs continuing to flit his gaze between duo a few more times before ultimately glancing down at the treat. His nose twitches as the faint but unmistakably familiar scent of an oran berry reaches his nostrils.

The smell makes his stomach growl, and his paw begins to itch some more, so he raises his free paw to scratch at it. Thor continues to stare long and hard at the cookie before slowly reaching out with his free paw to take it, eyeing the Cacturne warily as he brings it to his mouth for a bite.

["Your human just randomly chooses to share his food with wild Pokémon?"] He takes a decent chunk out of the cookie, chewing it quickly before swallowing. It's not an instantaneous heal, but after a few moments, Thor can slowly feel the effects of the berry beginning to work. ["Thanks."]

["I believe that you would be fine on your own. I believe Harley does, too. We offer help because. If you can make things easier for a Pokémon even once. Why not extend that courtesy."]

Cacturne nods as the Raichu accepts the cookie, his expression unmoving as he took his bites. He does relax some, having been tense in his stillness, but aside from lowering his arm, Cacturne doesn't move - still very much focused on not startling the wild Pokemon.

["He makes his treats to be enjoyed by both humans and Pokémon. He gets joy from sharing his food and seeing it enjoyed. So yes. He shares."]

Harley, who was still keeping his distance, cut in almost as if to prove Cacturne's point. "How'd yuh like it, hun? Did that help?" He smiled, just happy to see that the treat was being eaten.

["You see? You are very welcome."]

There really was something to be said about Harley's passion as a creative. Well, an artist, really. Siebold could truly see the vision - but he was a bit worried as there was the assumption that the other loved the spotlight. Spending so much time baking in the kitchen doesn't exactly match the glamour of being dressed up with your pokemon with thousands of eyes watching your ever move. However.... "Hmm," Siebold thinks for a moment, keeping that thought in the back of his mind as he moves on.

"It's a large change nonetheless. Not only for you, you know. What is the plan with your pokemon?"

There went his excitement.

Harley's shoulders dropped at the reminder and his lips pursed - not because he hadn't considered it, but because he had. And he had only seen one solution, really: "Well, Wigglytuff loves th' stage a lil' too much, so. ...Ah found a new trainuh for 'er. But e'rryone else - they're stickin' uh'round."

He tried to perk up his voice - you know, to sound happy that the rest of his team had stuck with him. But it was hard to do; even losing one member of the team was a heavy weight to bear.

"But as long as she's happy - !"Harley perked up a half-hearted smile. He... couldn't finish the sentence, but. Ya know what? It was implied.

Will hesitates before resting his head on Harley's lap. He knew that the champions were in a league and class of their own, in more ways than one, but he underestimated just how popular they were.

"...you're right. Wallace is more known than I am, but that just means I need to put myself out there more, right? I have the mystery angle going for me, so maybe I can work with it further to promote my image." And if he ever defeated Lance to become the champion, that would make him stand out even more.

For a second, Harley wonders if Will is rejecting the affection. His hands pull back, fingers curled, not wanting to be forceful. But Will does cozy into Harley's lap, and the coordinator exhales gently. He probably deserved that brief panic, really. Regardless, he pushes that thought aside and filters his fingers through Will's wispy strands of hair.

"Yuh know, Ah think that could be really good! We could getc'ya some fans, make yuh some cute new lil' outfits - really play up th'vibe. Doe'n't a lil' photoshoot sound fun~?"

⠀he . . .⠀really shouldn't have been surprised when harley's ride was a pokémon.⠀one of the most popular methods of transportation here was on the back of a lizard;⠀hell, he got here through being ferried by a near - dozen surprisingly strong little birds.

⠀this one was new, though.⠀this one had him wondering how they'd get to her place—⠀was it strong enough to actually carry two people?

⠀grusha's mouth opens when she takes his bags, then . . .⠀closes again.⠀that was less of a request and more of a demand, and he really hopes those bags weren't too heavy, but . . .⠀if they insist, he won't talk back.

⠀(⠀not implying you had noodle arms or anything, harley, just . . .

⠀well, maybe you could.⠀)

⠀“ how exactly are we getting the—? ”

⠀the next thing he knows is that he blinked.⠀one blink and he's in a brand new area—⠀the exterior of a supermarket one moment, in a living room that certainly wasn't his the next.

⠀more blinks come.⠀if he blinks enough maybe it'll make sense—⠀fix disoriented vision, or get over the little bout of dizziness—⠀but, no, that wasn't some weird lapse of memory.

⠀harley's ' ride ' to getting home was actually teleporting.

⠀“ . . . huh.⠀cool. ”

'cool,' he says. she had just watched him blink on repeat as though it would change the view or somethin'. but the two simple words brought harley a sense of comfort anyways. she wasn't having to keep grusha's balance for him. which ya know - made sense, now that harley took a second to think about it. didn't his sport have lots of flips in it or whateva? and if it did, did that make it sort of an art, too? ...hmm. a question for later, she supposed.

for now, harley let go of grusha's shoulders - only giving them a light dusting off, as though she could possibly have left some residue or something. "yeah? ah think it's pretty cool too. real nice not havin t'wait t'get nowhea'. s'long as its within range an' all." but harley literally waved off the details.

"so!" clap. "welcome t'mah lil' uh'bode~!" she glanced over at the kitchen, and with just a passing moment, a thought seemed to hit her. "whell, since this is a sort'uh impromptu lil' thing, why on't we head t'the kitchen t'gethah an' figyuh out what we have a taste for?"

she wasn't going to have a shortage of options - that was for sure. even without the help of grusha's groceries - which harley aimed to avoid touching. nonetheless, she grabbed all of the bags they came in with, lest anything cold be left out to go warm.

once she welcomed him into the kitchen, harley started with the cold items, revealing a fridge stocked well with creams, broths, fresh veggies and fruits. there were some leftovers as well, but harley pretty much ignored these. her cabinets were where the real magic happened anyway. all of her grains, and her spices, and canned items and baking supplies were tucked away behind painted green woods. harley hardly ever let herself run out of anything, really. unless it just wasn't her kind of cuisine. but then was it really "running out"?

having combed through some of the ingredients, harley turned her attention back to grusha. "yer th'guest, what're we thinkin'? got any favorites~?"

"I've known them both since we were kids, and I trust that they wouldn't miss something like this unless they had a good reason. Our bond isn't so flimsy that a little thing like this can shake it," she said, her gaze sharpening as her smile not once faltered. "If that's what you're wondering, that is."

"Since y'were kids, huh...?" Harley couldn't relate. Thinking back to her childhood only brought her bad memories, and she was slipping into making that mistake right now. Stolen lunches, bein' locked in th' bathroom, the haircut incident... now her eyes were narrowing, but noticeably at nothing.

Ew. What was she doing? She was in public. Harley blinked herself into present-day and twirled a tuft of her hair. (Part of her needed to confirm that it was still there.)

"Well that's..." Positive adjective, positive adjective... "...precious. Certainly explains yer success. Ah done seen uh lotta group acts break up by now."

"...his outfit is truly eye catching, and he is rather popular." But so was he, wasn't he?

"..." Harley purses his lips. He can feel the energy shift. He definitely made Will feel bad.

With a sigh, he reaches out and gently encourages Will to lay his head in his lap. Because once he's cozy, Harley can start playing with his hair. That always makes him feel better.

"He is." Knowing he can't take what he said back, Harley tries to be extra careful with his words but not... dishonest, or anything. "An' that's all these things are. Popularuhty contests. Wallace hits two crowds, yuh know? Coordunatuhs an' trainuhs. People who don't know eitha of yuh's'll go by whatcha look like an that's uh mattah of taste. Even if his outfit does scream loudah."

"It most certainly is! What does he have that I do not?"

"Girl - have yuh seen his signityuh outfit? He said 'Ah look like Ah can be snapped in half an Ah'm lookin fer th'man tuh make it happen. ~Respectfully.~" Harley chuckles at his own joke before brushing a piece of his hair back. "Oh an' his fame an' status definitely don't hurt eithah."

"Yer not seriously tellin' me that's uh serious question, Suguh Plum."

"Oh, you mean Rumi and Mira? They're currently busy with other projects and will be watching the live stream instead~!" If that comment was meant to bring her down, then Harley failed.

Oh goody - she's one'a those. A bubblegum girlypop, she supposed. It'd take a goddamned semitruck to get her to take a hint. Harley quite blatantly rolled her eyes. Zoey wasn't going to get it anyway, right?

"A'ight, an' what're they up to that's so important? Cause me persuhnally, Ah wouldn't let that slide."

⠀—whatever has been mentioned prior about hints not yet smacking him in the face has been rescinded.

⠀at this point, they have.⠀and the way he misses those too has to be intentional;⠀maliciously so, no.⠀baffled they're even trying in the first place?⠀absolutely.

⠀but the supermarket was the last place on earth he'd rather have that kind of discussion.

⠀his next destination is out of this noisy place, noting without comment the way she perks back up at sure;⠀when they're back out he glances north, always at least a bit north, narrowing his eyes at the mountain obscuring half the horizon.⠀coming off of it was something he never particularly enjoyed doing, even if it was an occasional necessity.

⠀nothing grows well up there, anyway.⠀that market in town was not the freshest.

⠀“ . . . your place is probably closer. ”⠀unless they really enjoyed those skytaxi rides.

"mah place. easy-peasy. ah can get us a ride, too."

well. if you wanted to call it a 'ride.' claydol, the resident teleporter, was harley's key to quick, long-distance travel. it clicked and rotated once it was released from its pokeball, hovering patiently as it awaited its cue.

"he'yuh. lemme take those." it wasn't really an offer so much as a head's up, as harley reached over and grabbed the bags grusha had been carrying. she was the host, after all, so she was going to be the gentleman for the day. and with that in mind, harley slid the bags down her arm so she could offer a hand to grusha. "shall we?"

after flashing a soft smile to grusha, she shifted her attention to her pokemon. "a'ight claydol - take us home, will ya?"

once again, claydol clicked at its partner. this time, its arms flailed around its body. it wasn't really necessary for claydol to do this, but it's helpful to give its passengers a signal that it's about to take off.

the trio was dropped off directly into harley's living room. the condo is primarily a pristine white, but hints of pastel mint and deep greens litter the background - the kitchen especially. but harley didn't move to the kitchen right away. instead, she slid the bags off of her arms and focused on grusha. teleporting could be disorienting if you weren't used to it.

so with both hands now free, she gently clasped his shoulders to make sure he was steady. "how ya feelin' aftah th' trip? ya need uh minute?"
