As soon as Grianās eyes landed on the man, he knew. He knew it was the man he had fallen in love with all those lives ago. His petal, the star to his burning meteor.
He had to push back the urge to take him back to where he belonged, to take him to his own little world and to lay with him, to let his wings fall from the magic he used to stop them being shown.
He stepped forwards towards the most dangerous villain leader in the city, Ringmaster.
Time to pretend, like he had been doing since the watchers had tried to take his beloved away.
He rushed forward, pretending like he couldnāt see perfectly in the alley, calling out in a perfectly disguised voice that would sound scared even to those with hearing powers.
The villain responded. voice scrambler clearly unable to hide how hurt he was, by the elders, did he hate that, he wanted to just rip it off so he could hear his belovedās voice in itās true glory. He urged himself not to let his hands wander as he put one against the wall as he walked. His other hand, perfectly shaky, took his phone out of his pant pockets, turning on the flashlight.
He watched as Scar groaned at the sudden light, before his eyes blinked rapidly.
----------------------------------
When Scar fell into the alley, he was certain he would be caught, and he was, but oddly enough? Not by the heroes, but by a man in veterinarian's clothes, and even before he adjusted his eyes to the light, getting a good look at him properly, something in him, something primal screamed, screamed at him to trust him trust him trust him JUST TRUST HIM.
He flinched at the way his body seemingly calmed down on its own, breathing getting easier, hands unclenching, all unwillingly. Was this the manās power? Able to calm anybody and everybody down? It would be suitable for someone working with injured animals.
āHey, are you okay, any visible bleeding?ā Scar just nodded, he used the light to try and find his phone, needing to text Lizzie and Jimmy, but then he hissed, pain radiating through his knee, which... Still had an arrow in it...
āWait, maybe I ca help with that? Me being well, a vet and all....ā The man looked sheepish but confident, and Scar would need to get it removed properly if he didnāt want an infection...
āSure, just, be careful.ā The man approached at his words, Scar felt his heart speed up, but instead of feeling the need to cover himself, the need to defend his vital parts, he felt himself practically melt into the manās vicinity, and as the man worked, gently moving the arrow head into a way that allowed it to come back through his leg, he felt himself getting drowsy, the manās hands were hot to the touch despite the cold, rough material between them and his leg.
He pushed down a yawn, feeling his eyes getting heavier as time went on as the man worked... He could rest right? He hadnāt lost a lot of blood so... It would be okay to just... rest... His eyes....
--------------------------------------
Grian smiled as he gently picked up Scar after bandaging his leg, opening a portal while holding the man was no problem, walking through, he gathered his favourite blankets, un-strapping the mask around his petalās face, he opened another portal, this time to his walk in closet, taking out some decently oversized clothes, he undressed the man, making sure to properly scent the clothes he had picked before gently wrapping his beloved star in them, watching in delight as his body unconsciously relaxed at the smell.
He practically engulfed the man, finally letting his wings fall and be seen, wrapping around his star, bringing him even closer as he continued to sleep. Good, heād need energy if Grian truly wanted to give him back his memories, and then theyād be together again in this timeless paradise. And nothing would get in their way.
Draft I've been working on! ;)
