About:
Dwarf Fortress:
Slaves to Armok: God of Blood Chapter II: Dwarf Fortress is an indie pc game originally published in 2002 by brothers Tarn and Zach Adams. Best known for being notoriously complex to learn and for its procedural generation of insanity and Fun, the game received a graphics package for its 2022 release on Steam and Itch.io. The original freeware version is still available for free in its original ASCII format, but as a new-wave player and filthy casual, I can't cope with the fast-paced gameplay without the visual shorthand of recognizable images.
This Blog:
Cadenicamade-The Destined Realms is a jumbled collection of disparate landmasses and peoples, divided by oceans and cultural differences. I've played in this particular game for a few in-game decades, beginning in year 100, and at this point the amount of legends and lore I've collected and endured burdens my mind and soul. Blogging about my hyperfixation has been emotionally and creatively fulfilling in the past, and it's technically my own source material here, with absolute respect to the Adamses for the power they have gifted to me. I do not make the best possible use of it, but I'm not a god of prosperity. Armok is the Dwarven god of Fun.
